This role would be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating clinical risk. We are looking for someone who has experience providing Clinical Risk Management and wants to bring their talents to a “for purpose” space. To work at Talkspace, you need to be as passionate as we are about our work, and excited to partner with us on delivering quality mental healthcare.\n*This is a remote position with a typical schedule of Monday-Friday daytime hours; Eastern Timezone preferred, but some flexibility if able to attend meetings. Talkspace Headquarters is located in NYC but we do not require New York residence for this role.*\nWhat You’ll Do\nRisk Monitoring & Response\n\nReview and document adverse incidents, crisis alerts, higher level of care needs. \nApply clinical expertise to assess risk-related concerns.\nProvide guidance and/or consultation to providers following a risk-related incident. \nFacilitate debriefing and Psychological First Aid (PFA) following significant sentinel events, as assigned. \nEscalate high-risk or complex concerns for leadership review. \nProvider Support & Education\n\nOffer consultation to providers on clinical risk management topics (e.g., documentation, ethical practice, safety planning, mandated reporting.)\nParticipate in provider onboarding, risk-focused learning communities, and other training initiatives. \nAssist in developing clinical risk education materials. \nConnect providers to appropriate support teams and resources when needed. \nQuality Oversight & Improvement\n\nPartner with Quality Management to investigate complaints and evaluate clinical quality.\nConduct audits and quality reviews.\nContribute information and findings that inform provider action plans and quality improvement processes. \nRisk Data & Trends\n\nGather, organize, and maintain accurate risk-related data.\nTrack and report patterns or anomalies that may indicate emerging trends.\nSummarize and contribute insight to inform leadership review and reporting. \nTechnology & Innovation\n\nUtilize technology systems and tools that support clinical risk management workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.\nStay current on emerging tools that can strengthen risk monitoring. \nPolicy & Systems Development\n\nApply Clinical Risk Management SOPs, policies, and workflows consistently in daily work.\nProvide feedback on policies, procedures, and systems based on experience. \nParticipate in testing and evaluation of processes or systems. \nSupport the communication of updates to providers, colleagues, and other teams/departments as needed. \nCross-Functional Collaboration\n\nShare information and coordinate with other clinical teams and other departments, as appropriate. \nParticipate in cross-team/departmental projects or initiatives related to safety and risk management. \nOther Duties\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nAbout You\nMaster’s degree from an accredited University/College in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or related field. \nCurrent independent, unrestricted clinical licensure (LCSW, LMHC, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist, or equivalent). \n3+ years of post-licensure experience as a mental health clinician\n2+ years of direct clinical experience delivering care as a telehealth practitioner. \nExperience in clinical risk management and crisis intervention. \nFamiliarity with clinical quality expectations and ability to consistently apply ethical and clinical best practice standards. \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.\nTechnologically proficient; Familiar with Google Workspace and able to learn new systems. \nPreferred\nExperience in delivering care in acute, crisis, or high-acuity settings (e.g., emergency department, inpatient, mobile crisis, IOP, PHP, residential)\nDemonstrated ability to manage adverse incidents and risk-related workflows, including:\nReviewing, assessing, and documenting incidents accurately using clinical judgment.\nProviding consultation and guidance to providers following risk-related concerns.\nCoordinating higher level of care referrals.\nExperience:\nCompleting clinical documentation audits and quality reviews. \nFacilitating clinical training.\nStrongly Preferred\n6+ Years of post-licensure clinical experience with demonstrated expertise in clinical risk and quality management. \nExperience:\nProviding clinical supervision, consultation, or mentorship to clinical peers. \nFacilitating clinical risk-management training.\nContributing to clinical procedure and policy development/improvement. \nDemonstrated ability to gather, organize, and maintain risk-related data to support analysis, reporting, and decision-making by leadership and stakeholders. \n\nBenefits \nComprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision plans coverage\nPre-tax benefits: HSA/ FSA\n401k Retirement Savings Program with matching\nVoluntary benefits including disability, basic life or pet insurance, etc.\nMonthly Wellness Stipend to promote mental and physical self-care\nFlexible PTO and Remote First Environment\nRegular team events, including Wellness Workshops and Team Building Events\nFree access to Talkspace products for you and one household member, as well as access to a friends and family discount! \nCompensation\nAt Talkspace, we believe that pay transparency during the interview process is a critical part of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our salary bands are based on internal and external compensation benchmarks, which we regularly evaluate to ensure we pay competitively.\nThe base salary range for this role is $75,000 - $82,000 per year.
