[Remote] Solutions Engineer (Manufacturing AI)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Talnt is seeking a Solutions Engineer to deliver AI-powered software solutions for manufacturers. The role combines software integration, implementation consulting, and technical problem-solving, working directly with customers and internal Engineering, Product, Data Science, and Customer Success teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement software integrations connecting enterprise manufacturing systems to cloud-based applications
• Develop APIs, integration services, data pipelines, and automation workflows using Python, SQL, REST APIs, and modern software development practices
• Serve as the primary technical resource for customer implementations from solution design through deployment and ongoing technical support
• Partner directly with manufacturing customers to understand production processes, data architecture, operational challenges, and integration requirements
• Integrate enterprise manufacturing systems including ERP, MES, QMS, historians, SCADA, and other industrial software platforms
• Build reusable integration tools and connector libraries that improve deployment speed and scalability
• Collaborate with Data Science teams to configure AI and machine learning solutions that solve manufacturing challenges
• Troubleshoot complex issues involving distributed systems, networking, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and production data pipelines
• Analyze large manufacturing datasets to identify data quality issues, diagnose integration failures, and implement technical solutions
• Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to provide customer feedback and influence future product capabilities
• Develop technical documentation, implementation guides, and best practices that support scalable customer deployments
• Participate in customer discovery sessions, technical workshops, and solution architecture discussions
• Manage multiple implementation projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional customer communication and project execution
• Travel to customer manufacturing facilities as needed to support deployments, technical troubleshooting, and solution optimization

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline
• Minimum of **4 years of experience** in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Implementation Engineer, Integration Engineer, Technical Consultant, or similar
• Strong programming experience using **Python** and **SQL**
• Experience developing and consuming **REST APIs** and building software integrations
• Familiarity with Bash, PowerShell, or other scripting languages
• Experience working with cloud platforms, distributed systems, middleware, and enterprise software integrations
• Strong analytical skills with experience working with large datasets and troubleshooting complex technical issues
• Excellent customer communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong project management, organization, and problem-solving abilities
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving priorities and ambiguous technical challenges
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
• Experience working within manufacturing, industrial automation, Industrial IoT, or smart manufacturing environments
• Familiarity with ERP, MES, SCADA, QMS, OPC UA, historians, or other manufacturing software platforms
• Experience with Golang, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ETL pipelines, or distributed cloud applications
• Knowledge of AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, or industrial data science applications
• Experience with manufacturing KPIs such as OEE, downtime analysis, process optimization, or predictive maintenance
• Experience with Airflow, Databricks, or modern data engineering platforms
• Previous experience working for a high-growth SaaS or industrial technology company
• Familiarity with AI coding assistants and modern software development tools
• Manufacturing or industrial engineering experience
