Among the responsibilities include sorting, washing drying, pressing, and folding clothing and other textile items. They also remove stains from products by adhering to the manufacturer’s processes and use of commercial cleaning products. The Landry attendant may be in charge of cleaning the guests’ personal belongings. Other duties may be assigned. \nSorting linens, towels, clothing and other laundry items by color, size and material \nWrapping laundry items for pickup or delivery to customers and hospitality guests \nWashing items with commercial laundry equipment following proper sanitization protocols \nCleaning and maintaining laundry room area and equipment \nUnloading laundry from commercial dryers \nStocking laundry supplies such as detergent, bleach, laundry bags and fabric softener \nCreating laundry tags with identifiable customer information \nCreating invoices for laundry orders \nRemoving stains from items using the appropriate procedures \nPerforming minor sewing duties as needed \nQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE \nProven working experience as a housekeeper. \nKnowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies. \nIntegrity and ability to work independently. \nGood communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience. \nFast pace worker and work well with others. \nEDUCATION \nHigh School Diploma or GED. \nCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS \nRequires possession of valid Class C driver license with a driving record meeting the minimum standards required by the resort’s insurance carrier. \nREASONING ABILITY \nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
