We connect merchants to local payment methods and support the payment integrations and operations needed to serve customers across multiple markets.\nAbout the Role\nWe are looking for a Product Manager with hands-on experience in the payments industry. You will own a product module from discovery through launch and ongoing improvement, working with merchants, payment providers, and internal teams.\nThis is a product management role, not an engineering role. You should be comfortable reviewing technical documentation, particularly API and integration documentation, and working closely with engineering teams throughout the integration lifecycle.\nKey Responsibilities\nOwn a product module from identifying business objectives and merchant problems through development, launch, documentation, and ongoing improvement.\nLead product discovery by gathering merchant requirements, assessing market needs, and researching how payment providers and other industry participants solve similar problems.\nContribute to roadmap planning, sprint prioritization, release planning, and product decisions with product and engineering leadership.\nTranslate business and merchant requirements into clear product requirements, user stories, payment flows, and acceptance criteria.\nManage payment integrations with providers, acquiring banks, wallets, and alternative payment methods from initial assessment through testing and production launch.\nReview provider API and integration documentation to understand capabilities, requirements, dependencies, limitations, and payment flows.\nWork closely with engineering teams to clarify integration requirements and help investigate payment and merchant integration issues.\nUnderstand API requests and responses, webhook payloads, transaction statuses, error messages, and basic technical logs well enough to discuss issues with engineering teams and payment providers.\nTrack product metrics, including payment success and authorization rates, checkout conversion, failure reasons, processing costs, refunds, chargebacks, and settlement performance.\nSupport user acceptance testing, production readiness, and post-launch monitoring.\nPrepare product documentation, release notes, and enablement materials for Sales, Operations, and Support.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A master’s degree in one of these fields is an advantage.\nAt least 5 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in product management.\nExperience at a payment service provider, payment gateway, acquiring bank, fintech company, payment orchestrator, or similar business.\nExperience contributing to the development, launch, or management of a payment solution or payment-related product.\nPractical experience managing integrations with payment providers, acquirers, banks, wallets, or alternative payment methods.\nUnderstanding of different payment solutions and how their customer, merchant, and settlement flows differ.\nComfort reading API documentation and understanding integration concepts such as API requests and responses, JSON payloads, webhooks, transaction statuses, error codes, retries, and timeouts.\nAbility to work effectively with engineering teams without needing to write code.\nStrong skills in writing product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and merchant-facing communications.\nA data-driven and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to make decisions when information is incomplete.\nAbility to collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Compliance, Commercial teams, external providers, and merchants.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
