Specialist Engineer - Tamatem\nTamatem is looking for a technically strong QA Specialist Engineer to own the quality, security, and accuracy of Tamatem plus Store and its payment flows.\nYou will work across the store, payment gateways, APIs, wallets, inventory, and dashboards, investigating issues end to end across the frontend, backend, and database.\nAs a QA Specialist Engineer at Tamatem Plus, you will:\nOwn quality for assigned features, from requirements review and risk analysis through test execution, release readiness, and production validation.\nTest end-to-end payment journeys across multiple providers, including initiation, checkout, payment popups, hosted and embedded pages, redirects, SDK and S2S flows, status updates, refunds, and chargebacks.\nValidate APIs and integrations, including payloads, headers, authentication, error handling, business rules, and security controls such as API keys, HMAC signatures, and protection against request tampering.\nTest edge cases such as timeouts, interrupted payments, duplicate or out-of-order webhooks, retries, and concurrent purchases to detect duplicate charges and inconsistent records.\nValidate settlements, fees, exchange rates, payouts, invoices, and reports, alongside wallet top-ups and deductions, vouchers, inventory, and item delivery to games and partners.\nUse SQL, logs, API traces, and browser developer tools to investigate root causes, and test background jobs and scheduled tasks.\nBuild and maintain Playwright automated tests for critical journeys, API validation, and regression coverage.\nMaintain test cases traceable to Jira, communicate risks and coverage gaps clearly, and contribute to improving the QA process.\nNice to Have\nPerformance testing experience using JMeter or Locust.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD, Git, PostgreSQL, Django, Sentry, or ELK.\nExperience testing reconciliation, settlements, or invoicing.\nExperience creating mock services or webhook receivers for payment provider simulation.\nISTQB certification or relevant finance-testing qualifications.\nExperience with digital commerce, vouchers, or game purchases.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.\n3-4 years of hands-on software QA experience, with solid experience in fintech, payment gateways, or transactional systems.\nStrong testing fundamentals, including risk-based testing, test design, defect management, and release validation.\nHands-on experience with Playwright for UI testing, API validation, and regression testing.\nExperience testing APIs using Postman or Swagger/OpenAPI, including negative and security scenarios.\nStrong understanding of payment lifecycles, transaction statuses, webhooks, S2S communication, redirects, and embedded checkout.\nStrong SQL and relational database knowledge, including joins, aggregations, keys, constraints, and relationships, with the ability to validate data models against business logic.\nExperience using AI tools to support test design, automation, and defect investigation, with the ability to critically review and validate AI-generated
