The NOC is the hub of activity at Tampnet and you will work in a team that serves as the central point of contact for several departments including Subsea, Technology and Architecture, Solutions Implementation and Deployments and Engineering.\nTampnet prioritizes the continuous development of its employees, offering students a great opportunity to grow in various fields and within the company.\nYou will receive thorough training from the team, be assigned a mentor, and tasks will be adjusted based on your level of expertise.\nWe place a high value on a positive work environment and offers various initiatives for professional and social enrichment, such as training sessions, weekly padel games, team-building activities, summer events, and activity competitions like \"Tampnet on the Move.\"\nRequirements\nResponsibilities and tasks:\nHandle customer calls, incidents, alarms, and service requests, escalating complex or higher-level (L2+) issues to the Operations Engineer or shift lead according to the Tampnet escalation matrix.\n\nMonitor the network for incidents and events, ensuring timely first-line (L1) response.\n\nPerform daily / nightly NOC checklists, operational routines, and archive reports.\n\nSupport follow-the-sun coordination with other GNOC teams.\n\nSupport coordination and execution of planned network changes.\n\nAssist with SLA uptime calculations and reporting.\n\nPerform basic administration of users and access.\n\nEnsure adherence to ITIL-aligned practices and continuous service improvement.\n\nCarry out first-line analysis of events / incidents and basic problem solving.\n\nMaintain and follow operational documentation, runbooks, and checklists.\n\nEnsure clear and timely communication with customers and internal stakeholders on first-line matters.\n\nSupport internal reporting on ticket volumes and incident trends, as requested.\n\nContribute to a positive work environment in the team / department.\n\nParticipate in projects and service delivery as necessary.\n\nPerform other technical tasks within his/her area of expertise.\n\nDesired qualifications:\nEnrolled in, or having completed at least one year of, a relevant university program (e.g., computer science, telecom or electrical engineering), or equivalent relevant experience.\n\nBasic understanding of IP networking and telecom infrastructure concepts.\n\nAbility to work part-time / flexible shifts.\n\nLanguage: You must be fluent in Norwegian and have strong oral and written skills in English.\nDesired personal qualities:\nGreat communication skills\n\nCustomer- and solution-oriented mindset\n\nAnalytical and structured with the ability to complete tasks\n\nAbility to handle stress and make decisions in hectic situations\n\nHigh work capacity\n\nProactive and process-oriented approach\n\nCourageous and initiative with ability to follow through\n\nA burning interest and passion for the field of infrastructure and telecommunications\n\nCandidates applying for the position will be subject to background checks during the recruitment process, and this evaluation will be a factor in the selection of a candidate.\n\nSecurity Requirements\nTo be a current candidate for the position, you must be Security Cleared (or eligible for Security clearance in Norway) and authorised according to Norwegian Security Act.
