Join Tandy Leather and be part of a team that loves leathercrafting and providing an exceptional customer experience!\nJOB TITLE\nRetail Sales Associate\nREPORTS TO\nStore Manager\nLOCATION\nStore Location\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nCustomer Service and Sales\nGreet customers warmly in person and over the phone, demonstrating excellent customer service in an engaging and professional manner.\nAssist customers in selecting products, answering questions, sharing product knowledge, and recommending Tandy products.\nUse active listening to understand customer needs, make helpful suggestions, and strive to close sales.\nInform customers when orders are ready for pickup or provide status updates, ensuring they receive their receipts and items.\nStore Operations\nAccurately process purchases and returns using the POS system and internal computer systems.\nHelp with receiving and stocking merchandise and maintaining inventory accuracy.\nFollow opening/closing procedures, prepare displays/signage, and ensure a clean, organized retail space.\nCreate or update customer profile records.\nAlert management to potential security issues.\nPerform other duties as assigned to support store operations.\nLeathercrafting & Product Knowledge\nLearn product attributes, differentiate between products/features, and demonstrate product functions and purposes to customers.\nShow willingness to learn and teach classes to customers, enhancing their knowledge and skills.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nMotivated by providing exceptional customer service and driven to achieve retail sales.\nPersonable and able to engage with a diverse range of customers.\nA team player who can work efficiently both independently and as part of a team, maintaining self-motivation.\nAdaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, shifting between multitasking and focused tasks as needed.\nWilling to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs and seasonality.\nPhysical ability to be on the sales floor for extended periods, move and handle merchandise and fixtures, andperform all job functions.\nCommitted to following all company guidelines, policies, and procedures.\nBasic computer skills are required.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nConstantly moving and standing for at least two consecutive hours.\nLifting up to 30 lbs.\nStooping, kneeling, and crouching.\nClimbing ladders.\nReaching for items above eye level.\nInvolves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.\nEQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY\nOur Company is committed to equal employment opportunity in all aspects of employment.
