Primary Purpose

To support hardwarecost optimization and standardization through data-driven analysis, strategic insights, and cross-supply chain collaboration, enabling informed decision-making in vendor negotiations, supply policy, and operational efficiency.

The successful individual will leveragetheir proficiencyin xxx (function) to...

  • Provide hardware procurement related trendand variance analysis with the use of Supply Chain Analytics to support annual vendor negotiations.

  • Conduct end-to-end hardware cost modeling and benchmarking across categories.Analyze hardwarematerial consumption and processing cost across the supply base, report findings and propose aligned standards.

  • Measure hardwareproduct complexity for individual suppliers and derive with individual productivitytargets as a base for supplier performance evaluation.

  • Partner withProduct Development, and Materials Sourcingto evaluate supplier quotations, validatecosting assumptions, and support fact-based negotiation strategies;

  • Travel to manufacturing locations as needed.

  • Maintain and enhance costing databases and reporting dashboards ensuringdata integrity, timeliness, and alignment with global costing standards;

  • Any ad hoctasks assigned by Leader

  • Cost Modeling & Analytics: Ability to build, validate, and interpret detailed bottom-up cost models for hardware components.

  • Data Analysis & Visualization: Proficiencyin advanced Excel, SQL, Power BI, and ERP systems to extract, clean, analyze, and present complex supply chain data.

  • Understanding ofmanufacturing processes, BOM structures, and supply base dynamics.

  • Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving: Breaks down complex cost structures into actionable drivers; identifiesroot causes of variances and proposes practical solutions.

  • Attention to Detail & Accuracy: Maintainshigh precision in data handling, assumptions, and reporting-critical for negotiationcredibility and financial integrity.

  • Proactive Communication: Clearly articulates technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through dashboards, presentations, and executive summaries.
