We are seeking an experienced o9 Planning System Configuration Developer with expertise in the retail industry to join our team. This role focuses on configuring, customizing, and optimizing the o9 Digital Brain platform to deliver advanced retail planning solutions, including demand forecasting, assortment planning, inventory optimization, replenishment, and integrated business planning (IBP/S&OP).

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with o9 platform configuration (e.g., Config 2.0, reference models, GraphCube, IBPL queries, widgets, procedures, plugins, and action buttons) combined with proven retail domain knowledge. You will translate complex retail business requirements into effective o9 configurations, ensuring alignment with merchandising, supply chain, and financial planning goals while driving measurable business value for retail clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with retail and supply chain planners, business stakeholders, and functional consultants to gather requirements, conduct workshops, and perform fit/gap analysis for retail planning processes.

  • Design and configure o9 platform solutions tailored to retail-specific needs, including demand planning, supply and inventory deployment planning, merchandise financial planning, and assortment planning.

  • Develop and customize data models, hierarchies, entities, and GraphCube structures in the o9 platform to support retail planning use cases, what-if simulations, and exception-based workflows.

  • Implement o9 reference models and extend them with custom configurations, IBPL select queries, procedures, plugins, widgets, roles, dashboards (DSR), and action buttons to address retail-specific gaps.

  • Map and integrate retail data sources (e.g., POS sales, inventory, shipments, promotions, store/item hierarchies) into the o9 platform, ensuring data quality, transformation, and optimal performance.

  • Support end-to-end implementation lifecycle: solution design, configuration development, unit/integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), go-live support, and post-go-live enhancements.

  • Troubleshoot configuration issues, monitor solution performance, and implement optimizations or fixes to maintain high uptime and SLA compliance.

  • Document configuration logic, custom developments, and best practices; contribute to knowledge transfer, and training.

  • Stay current with o9 platform updates, retail planning best practices, and emerging trends in AI-powered retail supply chain solutions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience configuring and implementing o9 Solutions platform.

  • Proven retail industry experience (2+ years preferred) working with retail planning systems and processes, including demand forecasting, assortment planning, inventory management, promotions, pricing, markdown optimization, and/or merchandise financial planning.

  • Strong understanding of retail supply chain dynamics, including seasonal planning, store/channel hierarchies, attribute-based planning, and multi-echelon inventory/replenishment.

  • Experience with full lifecycle o9 implementations in retail or consumer goods environments, including requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, and go-live.

  • Technical proficiency in o9 tools and components: GraphCube modeling, IBPL queries, procedures, plugins, widgets, action buttons, roles, and reporting/dashboards.

  • Familiarity with data integration (ETL processes), retail data sources, and performance tuning in cloud-native environments.

  • Prior experience with other retail planning systems (e.g., Blue Yonder/JDA, SAP IBP, Anaplan, or Kinaxis) is a plus.

  • Knowledge of AI/ML concepts in planning, statistical forecasting, optimization solvers, or simulation tools.

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
