This role will serve as a technical leader within the M365 ecosystem, providing expert-level support, driving governance and security best practices, and partnering closely with business stakeholders to enable productivity and collaboration across the organization.\nThe Sr. Microsoft 365 Platform Engineer will play a critical role in shaping the M365 roadmap, ensuring platform stability, improving adoption, and delivering a high-quality support experience. This position is key to maintaining continuity, advancing our data governance posture, and evolving our support model to meet growing business needs.\nThe successful individual will leverage their expertise in Technology to:\nServe as the senior technical authority for the Microsoft 365 platform, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, Purview, and Power Platform.\n\nDesign, implement, and maintain scalable M365 solutions aligned with security, compliance, and governance standards.\n\nLead complex troubleshooting efforts and provide Tier 3/4 escalation support for M365-related issues.\n\nProactively identify platform risks, performance issues, and opportunities for optimization.\n\nDefine and enforce M365 governance models, including data lifecycle management, retention policies, sensitivity labels, and access controls.\n\nPartner with Security, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure alignment with regulatory and organizational requirements.\n\nImprove and maintain the organization’s data governance and information protection posture using Microsoft Purview and related tools.\n\nContribute to and help execute the long-term M365 roadmap, aligning platform capabilities with business objectives.\n\nEvaluate new Microsoft features and services, making recommendations for adoption and rollout.\n\nDrive standardization and best practices across collaboration, identity, and endpoint management.\n\nAct as a trusted advisor to business users and IT stakeholders, providing clear guidance and solution-oriented recommendations.\n\nDeliver responsive, high-quality support while balancing operational needs with strategic initiatives.\n\nCollaborate with Service Desk and other IT teams to improve support processes, documentation, and knowledge transfer.\n\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers, administrators, and support staff.\n\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and runbooks.\n\nSupport training and enablement efforts to increase adoption and effective use of M365 services.\n\nThe accomplished individual will possess:\n7+ years of experience in IT, with 5+ years of hands-on Microsoft 365 engineering experience.\n\nDeep expertise across core M365 workloads (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID, Intune).\n\nStrong understanding of identity, authentication, conditional access, and modern endpoint management.\n\nProven experience designing and implementing governance, compliance, and security controls in M365.\n\nDemonstrated ability to lead complex technical initiatives and influence platform strategy.\n\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.\n\nAn outstanding professional will have...\nMicrosoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert, Security Administrator, or equivalent).\n\nExperience with PowerShell automation and Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps).\n\nExperience supporting enterprise-scale M365 environments.\n\nPrior experience acting as a technical lead or senior escalation point.\n\nOur Competencies for All Employees\nCourage: Doesn’t hold back anything that needs to be said;
