ALL ABOUT FOOD & BEVERAGE

The Food & Beverage team enables a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring productis fresh, in stock, available and accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. They are experts ofoperations, processand efficiency. This team leads food and food services including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, pricingand promotional signing processes for all Food &Beverage areas of the store.

• Guest service fundamentals and experience building a guest first culture in Food & Beverage

• Provide guests with information around when to purchaseitems and in what quantity, as well as storage tips

• Food & Beverage business fundamentals:department sales trends, inventory, quality and freshness management, guest shopping patterns and pricing and promotions strategies

• Food seasonality, freshness and quality, food safety standards and routines, and merchandising

As aFood & Beverage Expert, no two daysare ever the same, but a typical day will most likely includethe following responsibilities:

• Deliver an exceptional guest experience, providing a fresh and full shopping experience during all hours of operations, prioritizing the guest’s needs over task.

• Uphold and maintainthe execution of the Food &Beverage Standards.

• Execute Food & Beverage processes includingfood deliveries,replenishment, straightening merchandise, in-stocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signingand organizing and storing reserve product.

• Follow all food safety requirements as outlined in Target’s policies and procedures.

• Use sampling and suggestive selling to promote products and increase sales.

• Work with vendors to proactively set, maintainand make planned changes to salesfloor merchandise displays and to keep organized backroom space.

• Locate and identifydamaged, recalledor expired items and process according to Target’s policies and procedures.

• Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the totalstore, and specific to your area, to solve issues for the guestand improve their experience.

• Execute all federal, stateand local adult beveragelaws as they apply to your business.

• Appropriately use and care for in-store and personal protective equipment; follow equipment control guidelines.

• Always demonstratea culture of ethical conduct, safetyand compliance.

• Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.

• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and Drive-up (DU) and maintaina compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks.

• When guests need assistance, engage with guests in a welcoming way, to help solve their specific needs.

• Thank guestsand let them know we’rehappy they chose to shop at Target.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• You are open to working a flexible work schedule with varying hours, daysor shifts (including nights, weekends, holidaysand other peak shopping times).

The good news is that we have some amazing training that will help teach you everything you need to know to be a Food & Beverage Expert. But,there are a few skills you should have from the get-go:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older (Bakery Only)

• Previousfood or grocery experience preferred, but not required

• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members

• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operatehandheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.

• Work both independently and with a team

• Resolve guest questions quickly

• Attention to detail and followmulti-step processes

• Capability to remainfocused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplishmultiple tasks within established timeframes

• Accurately handle cash register operationsas needed

• Climb up and down ladders

• Scan, handleand move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequentlylifting or moving merchandise up to 44pounds

• Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekendsand holidays)reliable and prompt attendance necessary

• Ability to work in an environment that could range from 34°F to -10°Fas needed

• Ability to work in spaces where common allergens may be handled or present

• Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc.

• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary).
