Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness.Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption, usageand ultimately guestloyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

• Communicatingand interactingwith guests to build anwelcoming guest experience

• Blendingproblem solving and decision making to positively impactthe guest experience and resolve guest concerns

• Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offeringsand services

As aGuestAdvocate, no two daysare ever the same, but a typical day will most likely includethe following responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks.

• When guests need assistance, engage with guests in a welcoming way, to help solve their specific needs.

• Make the guest aware of current promos. store activities and events.

• Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the totalstore, and specific to your area, to solve issues for the guestand improve their experience.

• Thank guestsand let them know we’rehappy they chose to shop at Target.

• Know and speak tothe benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assistwith application or sign-up as needed.

• Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accuratelyand in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.

• Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintainingguest service and accuracy.

• Understand and show guests how to usethefeatures and offerings within the Target Appincluding Wallet.

• Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering,and know how to direct the guest to enroll, activate and use these features.

• Attempt every return and follow register prompts;partnerwith immediate Leaders as needed to help solve for the guestwhile following Target’s policies and procedures.

• Maintain a clean, clutter free work areaby gatheringunpurchaseditems, baskets, and hangersfor removal.

• Stock supplies during store open hours while being available for the guest.

• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safetyand compliance.

• Work in a safe manner at all times; comply withall safety policies,best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.

• Support guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive-up (DU) Orders,DU Returns and maintaina compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local adult beveragelaws.

• All other duties based on business needs

The good news is that we have some amazing training that will help teach you everything you need to know to be a GuestAdvocate.But,there are a few skillsyou should have from the get-go:

• Communicating effectively, including using positive language and attentive to guests needs

• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members

• Attention to detail while prioritizingtasks

• Willing to educate guests and engage around products and services

• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operatehandheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.

• Work both independently and with a team

• Capability to remainfocused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplishmultiple tasks within established timeframes

• Accurately handlecheckout operations, transactions,andsupport cash office operations as needed

• Scan, handleand move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequentlylifting or moving product up to 10 poundsand occasionally lifting or moving merchandise up to 44pounds without additionalassistance from others.

• Flexiblework schedule (e.g., nights, weekendsand holidays); reliable and prompt attendance necessary.

• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary).

• Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
