The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store. This team leads Food & Beverage and Food Service, providing a fresh and food safe experience. The role of an Inbound Operations Team Leader can provide you with the skills and experience of:\nGuest service fundamentals and experience building a guest-first culture on your team\nRetail business fundamentals, including department sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing and promotions strategies\nPlanning department(s) daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver sales goals\nLeading a team of hourly team members, including skills in interviewing, developing, coaching, evaluating and retaining talent\nAs an Inbound Operations Team Leader, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:\nConsistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience\nEnsures every team member understands, is trained, and consistently delivers on Target’s guest experience commitments and consistent operations\nActively observes and provides feedback, holding team members accountable while recognizing great guest experience moments\nReviews area guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, takes action to improve, and aligns team on the right behaviors and execution, celebrates wins, drives results that deliver outcomes and elevates the guest experience\nUnderstanding sales goals and plans, and executing daily/weekly workload to deliver department and store sales goals and guest engagement\nLeading and sharing expertise in operations, freshness, accuracy and efficiency\nWith guidance from your direct leader, establish clear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable to expectations\nWith the guidance of your direct leader, utilize your workload planning tools to complete all scheduled workload ensuring areas are guest ready at store open\nAssign daily tasks to TMs based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns, ensuring alignment with weekly and monthly business priorities set by your direct leader\nAssess all GM backroom, sales floor areas and review reporting to identify gaps and develop a plan to resolve any issues identified\nEnable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is available for purchase\nAssist your direct leader in leading and following up on organizational and operational change\nWith guidance and assistance from your direct leader, build a team of GM Experts from initial selection through onboarding and learning. This task involves repetitive bending, twisting, reaching, and rotating motions\nFlexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays); reliable and prompt attendance necessary\nAlthough the role is full-time, it does not come with a guarantee of 40 hours each week.
