The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, presentation, pricing, and promotional signing processes for all GM areas of the store. This team leads Food & Beverage, and Food Service, providing a fresh and food safe experience. The role of a Presentation Expert can provide you with the:\nKnowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest-first culture across the store\nExperience in retail business fundamentals: department sales trends, inventory management, process efficiency and improvement\nExperience executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals\nAs a Presentation Expert, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:\nCreate a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests\nObserve to quickly understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact. Follow body language and verbal clues to tailor your approach\nEngage with guests in a genuine way, which includes asking questions to better understand their specific needs\nBe knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the total store, and specific to your area, to solve issues for the guest and improve their experience\nThank the guest in a genuine way and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target\nDeliver accurate and timely merchandise transitions for all areas of the store; adhere to street dates for new merchandise\nEnsure all signing, including promotional and planogrammed ISM, is set accurately when the transition is completed\nEnsure areas are guest ready and maintain presentation standards as you complete scheduled workload. This includes keeping the salesfloor fully stocked, backstocking excess product and fixtures, zoning, signing and labeling accurately\nUnderstand how operational procedures, like planogram (POG) ties, product capacities and salesfloor quantities impact shortage, profitability, in store replenishment and inventory accuracy\nAppropriately use and care for in-store and personal protective equipment; follow equipment control\nEnsure displays are in proper working condition and re-order, if necessary\nHave dedicated ownership of select GM areas to ensure sales floor is full, in stock and accurately signed for guests\nConduct weekly price change workload for all GM categories\nComplete scans and system audit functions to ensure inventory accuracy\nAccurately execute all pulls (i.e., planogram, out of stock, EXFs, one for ones and guest requests) and backstock product from GM efficiently and timely\nComplete all backroom daily and weekly audits\nOperate power equipment only if certified\nMaintain backroom and fixture room organization, location accuracy and follow equipment guidelines\nExecute processes accurately with attention to detail, monitor own progress and accurately prioritize tasks\nDemonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance\nWork in a safe manner at all times to benefit yourself and others; identify and correct hazards; comply with all safety policies and best practices.\nSupport guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and Drive up (DU) and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws\nAll other duties based on business needs\nWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR\nWe might be a great match if:\nWorking in a fun and energetic environment makes you excited….
