The role is accountable for ensuring accurate financial reporting, identifying and resolving reconciliation differences, strengthening internal controls, and driving process improvements to enhance the overall control environment. The Senior Analyst serves as a subject matter expert (SME) and partners with Headquarters and cross-functional business teams to support accounting governance, process standardization, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement.\nPRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nMaintain Financial Integrity\nPerform timely and accurate preparation, review, and certification of Balance Sheet reconciliations for the assigned accounts.\nEnsure completeness and accuracy of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, reclasses, and supporting documentation.\nInvestigate, analyze, and resolve reconciliation variances by partnering with upstream and downstream business partners to ensure timely resolution.\nEnsure compliance with US GAAP, Target accounting policies, and corporate financial reporting requirements.\nPrepare supporting schedules and account analyses for internal management reporting and external financial reporting requirements.\nInternal Controls & Risk Management\nAnalyze balance sheet accounts to identify financial risks, unusual trends, and control gaps while recommending corrective actions.\nMaintain a strong SOX-compliant control environment by executing key financial controls and documenting evidence in accordance with corporate policies.\nIdentify process control deficiencies and partner with stakeholders to implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.\nEnsure reconciliation standards, certification timelines, and documentation requirements are consistently met.\nOperational Excellence & Continuous Improvement\nPrepare reconciliation metrics, aging analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for leadership reporting.\nIdentify automation opportunities and process improvements to reduce manual effort, improve reconciliation quality, and enhance operational efficiency.\nLeverage system capabilities and analytical tools to improve reporting accuracy and reconciliation effectiveness.\nStandardize reconciliation templates, documentation, and best practices across the accounting team.\nDevelop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and knowledge repositories.\nTrain, mentor, and support team members to strengthen technical accounting knowledge and reconciliation expertise.\nAudit & Compliance\nServe as the primary point of contact for internal, external, and SOX audit requests related to assigned balance sheet accounts.\nEnsure timely preparation of audit schedules, reconciliation support, and documentation while addressing audit inquiries effectively.\nSupport remediation of audit observations and implementation of corrective actions where required.\nProblem Solving & Stakeholder Management\nAct as the subject matter expert for assigned reconciliation processes and provide guidance to accounting team members.\nLead discussions with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve complex accounting and reconciliation issues.\nDrive root cause analysis of recurring reconciliation differences and recommend long-term process improvements.\nSupport leadership with financial insights, issue resolution, and decision-making through data-driven analysis.\nProjects & Transitions\nLead or participate in cross-functional projects involving process transitions, system implementations, reconciliation optimization, and accounting transformations.\nSupport transition of new accounting activities into the team while ensuring strong governance, documentation, and operational readiness.\nContribute to strategic initiatives focused on strengthening financial controls, automation, and operational excellence.\nREPORTING / WORKING RELATIONSHIPS\nReports to the Sr Manager.
