Learn more about Target here.\nPyramid Overview:\nManaged Containers is part of Target’s Cloud Infrastructure Services, providing a core platform for building, deploying, and operating containerized applications at scale across Target’s diverse infrastructure footprint-including Target data centers, public cloud, Stores, and Distribution Centers.\nThe platform is designed around scalability, resiliency, security, compliance, observability, and operational excellence, enabling teams to consistently run workloads across multiple infrastructure environments.Engineers on the Managed Containers team work on large-scale distributed systems, Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies, with a strong focus on automation-first engineering , infrastructure architecture, and developer experiences-building foundational capabilities that power applications and services across Target.\nPosition Overview:\nWe are looking for a Senior Engineer - Managed Containers with strong platform\nengineering experience in designing, developing, and operating cloud-native applications and microservices on Kubernetes-based platforms. The ideal candidate is passionate about building scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-native solutions and has hands-on experience with modern application frameworks, Kubernetes, automation, and DevOps practices.\nRequired Skills:\nStrong software development experience with Java/Kotlin and frameworks such as Micronaut or Spring Boot.\nExperience with Go (Golang) and/or Groovy/Ratpack is a plus.\nStrong understanding of microservices architecture, API design, and distributed\nsystems.\nExperience implementing GitOps practices using tools such as Argo CD or Flux.\nExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.\nHands-on experience developing, deploying, and operating applications on\nKubernetes.\nExperience with caching technologies and SQL databases.\nExperience with public cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP);
