The role of a Starbucks Barista can provide you with the skills and experiences of:\nProviding a consistent Starbucks experience for guests by curating handcrafted Starbucks’ Food quality and freshness management \nState and federal food safety and OSHA guidelines \nAs a Starbucks Barista, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:\nCreate an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments: \nGreet: \n10ft: be friendly - smile, make eye contact, or wave \n4ft: greet the guest, smile and initiate a warm, helpful interaction \nHelp guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience \nEnd every guest transaction with a sincere thank you \nActively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude \nAdjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience \nDeliver an exceptional guest experience by providing a fresh and abundant shopping experience during all hours of operations, prioritizing the guest’s needs over task. \nUphold and maintain the execution of the Food & Beverage Standards. \nExecute food and beverage processes including food deliveries, replenishment, instocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing, and organizing, and storing reserve product. \nAlways be aware of current and future promotions within Starbucks. \nFollow all Target and Starbucks routines to deliver a consistent experience for guests while completing tasks efficiently and maintaining food safety. \nMaintain an inviting dining area for guests throughout shift. \nEngage with guests to meet and exceed their expectations based on Starbucks standards. \nProduce hand crafted beverages and food to specifications on recipe cards. \nFollow all food safety requirements, including monitoring and recording temperature sensitive food items, as outlined in best practice. \nComplete and record all cleaning tasks in the Starbucks space as outlined in best practices. \nLocate and identify damaged, recalled or expired items and process according to best practices. \nEnsure accurate in-stocks by placing store-initiated orders according to best practices. \nFollow proper perishable inventory procedures to ensure an accurate recording of inventory. \nExecute sampling best practices. \nComplete all required training requirements and certifications related to quality control of Starbucks products. \nDemonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance. \nWork in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible. \nSupport guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and Drive-up (DU) and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws. \nAll other duties based on business needs \nWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR\nThis may be the right job for you if:\nYou enjoy interacting and helping others - including guests that shop our store and fellow team members you work with. \nYou thrive in a fast-moving, highly active and physically demanding role, where teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem solving are key to success. \nYou are open to working a flexible work schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays and other peak shopping times). \nThe good news is that we have some amazing training that will help teach you everything you need to know to be a Starbucks Barista.
