Coordinates academic advising, mentoring, and college and career readiness services with target schools and community partners. Monitors participant progress provides intervention and testing. Develops educational resources and programming that promote academic achievement and postsecondary goals for success.\nWork hours: Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work requirements indicate; with some variation of 7 am to 4 pm and Saturday testing. Primary office location is located at the Tarleton State Stephenville campus with travel to target school districts and student college tours/trips required.\nResponsibilities\n30% Coordinate academic and mentoring services with target schools and community partners. Travels to the target schools and communities. Target schools/ communities include Stephenville, Dublin, Three Way, Cranfills Gap, Gorman, Eastland, Cisco, Hico, Hamilton, Meridian, Morgan, and Walnut Springs.\n25% Assess student academic needs and create Individual Educational Plans\n20% Process academic documentation and academic progress\n25% Develop educational resources\nMinimum Qualifications\nRequired Education and Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience\nTwo years working with first-generation and low-income students, secondary academic advising experience, and experience documenting academic progress of middle and high school students.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nExcellent communication and organizational skills; Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.\nAbility to multitask and work cooperatively with others.\nSelf-motivation and self-discipline to work without direct supervision\nPreferred Requirements\nKnowledge of postsecondary admission and financial aid processes is preferred.\nPreference may be given to candidates who have demonstrated success in overcoming barriers similar to those encountered by low-income, first-generation students.\nCompensation & Benefits\nSalary: Commensurate with experience\nSalary Range:\nThe target base annual salary range is $44,000 up to $55,550.50 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.\nWe are proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package for full-time and qualifying part-time employees.
