This position serves as a resource for faculty and staff by providing consultation, training, documentation, and guidance that promotes responsible and effective integration of AI into teaching, learning, research, and administrative operations.\nWorking collaboratively with university stakeholders, the AI Solutions Specialist helps identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies, develops educational resources, evaluates practical applications, and assists users in building confidence with AI-enabled tools and workflows. The position contributes to institutional innovation by encouraging thoughtful technology adoption while supporting established university priorities, policies, and governance. This is an entry-level professional position designed to grow alongside the university's evolving use of AI and emerging technologies. Serves as Campus Security Authority (CSA).\nIn office position located at the main campus in Stephenville, Texas with normal work hours of Monday to Friday; 8am to 5pm or as work requirements indicate.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nDevelop and deliver training opportunities introducing faculty and staff to institutionally approved AI technologies.\nCreate user guides, knowledge articles, instructional materials, demonstrations, reusable prompts, templates, and other educational resources.\nPromote AI literacy through workshops, presentations, one-on-one consultations, and group training sessions.\nSupport faculty and staff in developing the knowledge and confidence to effectively utilize AI technologies.\nEncourage the responsible, effective, and appropriate use of AI technologies in accordance with university guidelines and best practices.\nConsult with university departments to identify opportunities for incorporating AI technologies into teaching, learning, research, and administrative workflows.\nAssist users in evaluating AI capabilities that improve productivity, collaboration, communication, and operational efficiency.\nRecommend institutionally approved AI solutions that align with university needs and objectives.\nRemain current on emerging AI technologies and trends relevant to higher education.\nAssist with pilot initiatives, proof-of-concept activities, and evaluations of emerging technologies.\nDocument findings, recommendations, best practices, and training resources to support continuous improvement.\nCollect feedback and adoption metrics to improve user engagement and technology enablement efforts.\nMay provide guidance, training, and work direction to student employees supporting AI initiatives and related technology services.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nMinimum Qualifications\nRequired Education & Experience\nBachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nTwo (2) years of experience supporting, implementing, or training users on technology solutions\nRequired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies\nStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.\nDemonstrated ability to learn and apply emerging technologies.\nAbility to explain technical concepts to users with varying levels of technical proficiency.\nStrong organizational, customer service, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to maintain the security and integrity of critical infrastructure, which may include communications systems, computer networks and systems, cybersecurity systems, electrical grid, hazardous waste treatment system or water treatment system.\nPreferred Qualifications\nHigher education experience.\nExperience delivering technology training or professional development.\nFamiliarity with generative AI technologies and practical applications.\nExperience creating instructional materials, knowledge articles, or end-user documentation.\nExperience supporting technology adoption or organizational change initiatives.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nKnowledge of emerging AI technologies and trends.\nAbility to evaluate technology solutions and communicate recommendations.\nAbility to facilitate technology adoption through education, consultation, and collaboration.\nCommitment to continuous learning and professional development.\nUnderstanding of responsible and ethical AI use within a higher education environment.\nAbility to build positive working relationships across diverse university constituencies.\nCompensation & Benefits\nSalary: Commensurate with experience\nSalary Range:\nThe target base annual salary range is $47,000 up to $51,700 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.\nWe are proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package for full-time and qualifying part-time employees.
