You’ll thrive here if you communicate openly, ask thoughtful questions, and enjoy turning business needs into practical solutions.\nThis role is hybrid and based in New York City, with two days per week in office required\nWhat You’ll Own\nStorefront Development & Custom Experiences\nWriting code is a core part of this role. You’ll build and maintain custom Shopify themes, templates, sections, and interactive components using Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. You’ll support key shopping experiences across PDPs, collection pages, cart, and customer accounts.\nFeature Development & Delivery\nYou’ll take ownership of assigned features from technical requirements through development, testing, and release. You’ll solve problems proactively and work with the team to deliver high-quality solutions.\nPromotions & Ecommerce Functionality\nYou’ll develop and enhance custom promotional features, including gift-with-purchase (GWP), bundles, discounts, product merchandising, and other conversion-driving shopping experiences.\nSearch & Product Discovery\nYou’ll support on-site Shopify search, filtering, collection merchandising, and product discovery enhancements that improve the customer shopping journey.\nPerformance & Optimization\nSite performance, accessibility (WCAG 2.2), and the overall customer experience will remain top of mind. You’ll improve site speed, Core Web Vitals, mobile responsiveness, and overall storefront performance.\nShopify Integrations\nYou’ll implement and maintain third-party applications, Shopify APIs, and custom integrations that support our merchandising, marketing, and customer experiences.\nTesting & Technical Quality\nYou’ll troubleshoot production issues, participate in code reviews and deployments, and partner with QA to identify regressions and ensure reliable, high-quality releases.\nAI-First Development\nWe’re actively exploring how AI can make the way we build, test, and deploy our ecommerce experiences even smarter. You’ll use AI-powered development tools to improve productivity, troubleshooting, code quality, and workflow efficiency, and you’ll look for new ways AI can enhance the shopping experience.
