State Account Manager - QLD

We're looking for a State Account Manager to lead our Queensland Seafood Wholesale and Foodservice portfolio. This is a highly autonomous role where you'll have the opportunity to grow existing accounts, win new business, lead a small team, and make a genuine impact on the success of our Out of Home channel.

The role can be based in Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast or the Gold Coast, with the flexibility to work from home when you're not out visiting customers across these three areas.

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the National Business Manager - Out of Home, you'll be responsible for delivering profitable growth across Queensland by managing a diverse portfolio of wholesalers, distributors and foodservice customers.

You'll:

Build strong relationships with existing customers while identifying and securing new business opportunities.

Develop and execute account plans that drive growth and increase market share.

Lead commercial negotiations, promotional activity and pricing discussions.

Work closely with internal teams to ensure excellent execution and customer outcomes.

Analyse sales performance, forecasts and market opportunities to support business decision-making.

Manage trade spend and customer claims.

Lead and support an Area Sales Manager who reports directly to you.

Travel throughout Queensland to meet customers, including occasional trips to North Queensland and interstate meetings with the wider Sales team.

What we're looking for

We're less concerned about where you've sold and more interested in how you build relationships, identify opportunities and deliver results.

To be successful, you'll bring:

Proven Account Management and business development experience within FMCG.

Experience working with Foodservice, Wholesale, HORECA or fresh food customers.

Seafood industry experience will be highly regarded.

Strong commercial and financial acumen.

Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.

Strong Excel skills and confidence preparing reports, forecasts and customer insights.

Basic PowerPoint skills and the ability to present confidently to customers and internal stakeholders.

A proactive, resilient approach and the ability to perform under pressure during peak trading periods.

Strong planning, organisation and territory management skills.

A continuous improvement mindset and the confidence to challenge the status quo when needed.
