This position will focus on optimizing production processes, troubleshooting manufacturing challenges, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting the development of new products and capabilities. The successful candidate will be a collaborative, results-oriented problem solver with a strong engineering foundation, a passion for operational excellence, and the ability to work effectively across multiple functions to improve quality, efficiency, and customer outcomes.\nResponsibilities\nProvide engineering support through all phases including - design for manufacturing reviews, prototyping, testing, day to day production support to continuous improvement efforts\nApply fundamental principles of science, engineering and statistics to improve processes, resolve quality issues, reduce costs and develop new products/processes\nProvide engineering technical support to OEM, Military, Commercial and Repair Station divisions on a day to do basis for Engineering related issues\nInteract with internal and external customers, vendors, and suppliers for identifying solutions or developing new processes. Participate in internal and external product design reviews with engineering or other technical teams\nResolve engineering problems of difficult and complex scope, with technical re-search ensuring engineering excellence, with minimal supervision\nProcess technically sound change management process with ECR’s (Engineering Change Request) and validation of changes with analytical tools and data\nApply information from technical manuals, engineering drawings and documents to research and resolve problems.\nCreate work instructions and test procedures from design and/or Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) specifications\nEvaluate Testing for compliance with specifications and equivalency of Materials and Processes\nManage Capital Projects and justify new processes or equipment based on ROI calculations\nManage multiple projects and initiatives at the same time and be able to manage priorities with good Project Management skillset\nSupport manufacturing with corrective actions for non-conformances and troubleshooting assembly/testing issue with Failure/Root Cause Analysis\nOther responsibilities and projects as directed by the Engineering Leader\nRequirements\nBachelor of Science Engineering or related field\nU.S. citizenship or Green Card is required\nMinimum of 5 years’ work experience working in manufacturing environment in an Engineering role\nKnowledge of using Continuous Improvement tools like Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma\nMust be knowledgeable and adept in interpreting engineering specifications (FAA and other industry standards)\nMust have previous experience in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to modify and create work instructions and BOM updates\nExperience in driving year-over-year cost savings with CI tools preferred\nExperience in manufacturing processes like Welding / Vacuum Brazing / Torch Brazing of Metals / Chemical Cleaning of Metals / Heat Treatment of Metals / Machining / Casting / Forgings / Forming etc. preferred\nPrior experience with an AS9100/9110 environment is preferred and a plus.\nLean Manufacturing Certification preferred\nSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification preferred\nBenefits\nTAT Technologies is dedicated to providing an inclusive, fun, and unique workplace.
