The ideal candidate will work closely with development and engineering teams to define application security strategy, identify vulnerabilities early, and reduce security risk throughout the software development lifecycle.\nKey Responsibilities\nDefine and implement Application Security (AppSec) strategy and security best practices.\nIdentify, assess, and mitigate security risks within applications and APIs.\nConduct or support secure code reviews, threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and application security testing.\nWork directly with developers to remediate security vulnerabilities.\nIntegrate security controls into the SDLC/DevSecOps process.\nEvaluate application architecture from a security perspective and recommend appropriate controls.\nSupport SAST, DAST, SCA, API security, and dependency vulnerability management.\nPromote secure coding practices based on standards such as OWASP Top 10 and OWASP ASVS.\nPartner with development, architecture, DevOps, and cybersecurity teams to reduce application-level risk.\nKey Skills Required\nStrong previous software development/coding experience, such as Java, .NET/C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar.\nStrong Application Security and Cybersecurity knowledge.\nSecure coding and code-review experience.\nOWASP Top 10, vulnerability management, and threat modeling.\nSAST / DAST / SCA security tooling.\nAPI and web application security.\nAuthentication and authorization concepts such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, RBAC.\nDevSecOps / CI/C D security integration.\nAbility to translate security risks into practical fixes for developers.\nSalary Range - CA$ 100,000 - CA$ 120,000 Per Year\nTCS does not use artificial intelligence tools for candidate screening or evaluation.
