Many of these\nrelationships have endured into decades and navigated every technology cycle,\nfrom mainframes in the 1970s to artificial intelligence today.\nKey\nResponsibilities\nCost Reduction\nIdentify and implementcost-saving measures for existing products, including sourcing\nalternative components, simplifying manufacturing processes, and\noptimizing material usage.\n\nProduct Enhancements\nIdentify and implementminor design changes to improve product performance, reliability, and\nmanufacturability.\n\nConduct feasibilitystudies and develop prototypes for potential product enhancements.\n\nSupport the transfer ofnew or improved products to manufacturing.\n\nProject Leadership\nLead and manage thecomplete lifecycle of assigned engineering projects from concept and\nfeasibility studies through market launch.\n\nComponent ObsolescenceManagement\n\nIdentify and evaluatepotential obsolescence issues for electronic and mechanical components.\n\nDevelop and implementmitigation plans to address component obsolescence risks.\n\nCross-FunctionalCollaboration\n\nWork closely withManufacturing, Quality, Clinical, Regulatory, and Marketing teams to\ncommunicate and exchange technical information effectively.\n\n Design forManufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)\n\nAnalyze existing productdesigns and identify opportunities to improve manufacturability and\nassembly processes.\n\nImplement design changesthat reduce manufacturing costs, improve yield, and increase production\nefficiency.\n\nEngineering Documentation\nUpdate and maintainengineering drawings, specifications, and test procedures.\n\nDocument design changes,test results, and investigations in accordance with established quality\nsystem requirements.\n\nProject Planning andExecution\n\nDevelop comprehensiveproject plans, including timelines, project activities, de pendencies, and\nmilestones.\n\nMonitor execution andtrack progress against project plans.\n\nRisk Management\nIdentify, assess, andproactively mitigate project risks.\n\nDevelop and implementcontingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.\n\nTechnical Expertise\nMaintain a strongunderstanding of applicable engineering principles, medical device\ntechnologies, and industry best practices.\n\nAdditional\nResponsibilities\nManage design reviews andensure technical deliverables meet defined specifications.\n\nOversee Design Verificationand Validation (DV&V) activities.\n\nSupport compliance withquality and regulatory requirements throughout the product lifecycle.\n\nTCS does not use artificial intelligence tools for candidate screening or\nevaluation.
