The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test strategies, identifying defects, automating test cases, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for Web, Mobile, and API applications based on business and technical requirements.\nPerform manual and automated testing, including functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, system, and end-to-end testing, to ensure high-quality software delivery.\nValidate web applications across multiple browsers, devices, and operating systems, ensuring responsiveness, compatibility, accessibility, and a seamless user experience.\nTest native, hybrid, and mobile web applications on iOS and Android platforms, validating functionality, usability, device compatibility, and installation/upgrade processes.\nDesign, execute, and maintain API testing for REST and SOAP services, validating request/response payloads, status codes, authentication, integrations, and data integrity.\nDevelop, maintain, and enhance test automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API applications using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, and Rest Assured.\nCreate and maintain reusable automated test scripts to improve test coverage, reduce manual effort, and support continuous testing initiatives.\nIntegrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient and reliable quality validation throughout the software development lifecycle.\nIdentify, document, track, and verify software defects using defect management tools such a s JIRA and Azure DevOps, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.\nPerform backend validation using databases and SQL queries to verify data accuracy, consistency, and application behavior.\nCollaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and DevOps teams to understand requirements, clarify acceptance criteria, and ensure quality throughout the SDLC.\nParticipate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.\nAnalyze test results, prepare test reports, provide quality metrics, and communicate testing progress, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.\nContribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, testing standards, automation practices, and quality engineering initiatives to enhance overall product quality and delivery efficiency.\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, with good years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation.\nStrong experience testing Web, Mobile (iOS/Android), and API applications throughout the SDLC/STLC in Agile environments.\nExperience with Agile project management, test management, and collaboration tools, including JIRA, Confluence, TestRail, Zephyr, and HP ALM/Quality Center.\nHands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, and Rest Assured.\nProficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, or Python, as well as JavaScript/TypeScript, for developing and maintaining automation frameworks.\nExperience with API testing using Postman, Swagger, SoapUI, or similar tools, with a solid understanding of REST and SOAP services.\nStrong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (Git), and test management/defect-tracking tools such as JIRA and Azure DevOps.\nFamiliarity with browser developer tools, application logs, and debugging techniques for troubleshooting and validating application behavior.\nExperience with SQL and database validation to verify data integrity and backend functionality.\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS, performance testing tools, and BDD frameworks is an asset.\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.\nRelevant certifications in software testing or automation (e.g., ISTQB, Certified Selenium Professional, or equivalent) are considered an asset.\nPreferred Experience\nGood years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, including at least good years of hands-on test automation experience.\nExperience working in Agile/Scrum environments and supporting continuous delivery initiatives.\nExperience testing complex, enterprise-scale applications with multiple integrations and cross-platform user interfaces.\nTata Consultancy Services Canada Inc. is committed to meeting the accessibility needs of all individuals in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC).
