Join us and be a part of our mission to drive sustainability through technology and talent at Tata Consultancy Services, APAC today.\n\nPlease find the job description below.\n\nJob Title: Senior Software Developer\nLocation: Penang, Malaysia\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n• Design and develop Windows desktop applications to support automation and equipment interaction.\n• Implement system modules related to workflow execution, data handling, and operational logic.\n• Collaborate with equipment vendors and internal engineers to define integration requirements.\n• Participate in daily technical discussions covering architecture, design, testing, and delivery.\n• Ensure high-quality coding standards, documentation, and system robustness.\n\nRequired Skills & Experience\n\n• 10+ years of software development experience with strong desktop application skills.\n• Manufacturing domain experience, preferably within semiconductor or high tech production environments.\n• Equipment integration experience, including common communication protocols (e.g., SECS/GEM, TCP/IP).\n• Strong Windows application development skills (e.g., C#, .NET, WPF/WinForms).\n• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.\n• Able to work on-site in Penang for close collaboration, rapid design iterations, and team alignment.\n• Proactive, independent, and comfortable in a fast-moving startup-style environment.\n\nPreferred Qualification\n\n• Experience with automation systems at Level 4–6.\n• Familiarity with MES, material handling, or equipment control systems.\n• Semiconductor workflow knowledge.\n\nThank you for your interest in applying for this position with TCS.
