Our diverse and inclusive workforce allows for all employees to feel valued and safe to give their opinions and improve our company.\nTata Consulting Engineers USA, LLC, (TCE), is a multi-disciplinary engineering organization offering a full range of integrated engineering design, project support, procurement and construction management services to the energy and chemicals industries.\nPosition Summary\nThe Reliability Engineer - Electrical is responsible for building and sustaining the reliability of electrical assets across the Beaumont chemical facility, including the power distribution system (utility tie, substations, transformers, switchgear, MCCs), motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), UPS/DC systems, and protective relaying. The incumbent collects and analyzes electrical failure and trip data, develops Pareto analyses to identify top electrical bad actors, and leads the creation and execution of Reliability Action Plans (RAPs) designed to eliminate or significantly reduce unplanned downtime caused by electrical failures and power disturbances.\nAs an integral member of the Maintenance team, this role takes the lead in developing and driving the systems, processes, and tools needed to ensure long-term electrical system reliability and safe, compliant electrical work practices. The position aligns cross-functionally across operations, maintenance, I&E, and engineering - serving as the primary decision-maker for electrical equipment reliability matters. The engineer is accountable for prioritizing root cause failure analysis (RCFA), deploying focused improvement (FI) methodologies, and providing the technical input required to achieve annual operating plan (AOP) targets.\nResponsibilities\nReliability Action Planning & Failure Elimination.\nKPI Analysis & Focused Improvement.\nPredictive Maintenance Program.\nAsset Standards & Benchmarking.\nFailure Investigation & Reporting.\nQualifications\nDeep understanding of industrial power distribution, motors, VFDs, switchgear, and protective relaying.\nHands-on experience with electrical PdM (IR, MCSA, insulation testing, partial discharge, DGA.\nWorking knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E/70B, arc flash studies, and hazardous area classification.\nProficiency in RCM methodology, RCFA, and power system study software (e.g., ETAP, SKM).\nProficient in maintenance KPI analysis (MTBF, MTTR, OEE) and electrical trip/event data\nSkilled in Pareto analysis and data-driven prioritization.\nExperience building and managing reliability programs and action plans.\nStrong problem-solving mindset with root cause focus.\nStrong internal and external customer focus.\nEffective communicator across operations, maintenance, and engineering.\nAbility to influence without direct authority.\nCapable of leading cross-functional improvement teams.\nExperience with Controls/Power Distribution a plus.\nExperience in rotating equipment reliability a plus.\nPrefer local residents, no moving or travel allowance (within ~50 miles).\nEducation Requirements\nBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.\nEEO Statement\nTata Consulting Engineers USA, LLC (“TCE”) is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in our workplace.
