Reality, and Artificial Intelligence.\nWe are looking for an experienced QA Engineer / Test Engineer to join our Bootloader and DRI engineering team, responsible for validating low-level embedded software and platform components used across connected devices.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDevelop and execute comprehensive test strategies and test plans for Bootloader, DRI and related platform software.\nValidate device boot-up, firmware loading, recovery and software update processes.\nTest firmware upgrade/downgrade, rollback, recovery and failure scenarios.\nValidate device behaviour across different boot and recovery states.\nPerform functional, integration, regression, system and negative testing.\nDevelop and maintain automated test cases and test frameworks.\nAnalyse test failures, collect logs and perform initial fault isolation/root-cause analysis.\nReproduce and investigate issues across hardware, firmware, operating system and application layers.\nWork closely with developers to identify, debug and resolve defects.\nValidate software across multiple hardware/device configurations.\nPerform testing of OTA update mechanisms, including interrupted and failed update scenarios.\nVerify boot-time configuration, partitions, images, versioning and upgrade compatibility.\nTest recovery mechanisms and device behaviour following power interruptions, corrupted images and other failure conditions.\nMonitor and analyse device logs, console output and system traces.\nParticipate in defect triage and provide clear technical information to development teams.\nMaintain test documentation, test cases, test results and defect reports.\nContribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and automation.\nSkills & Experience:\nSkills & Experience\nBachelor's Degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.\nExperience in QA/testing of embedded or connected devices.\nStrong understanding of embedded software testing and system-level validation.\nExperience testing Linux-based embedded systems.\nGood understanding of the software/firmware boot process.\nExperience with firmware/software upgrade and recovery testing.\nExperience with test automation and scripting, preferably using Python.\nGood understanding of Linux command line, shell scripting and system logs.\nExperience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, Zephyr or equivalent.\nAbility to investigate failures across multiple layers of a system.\nGood understanding of software development and QA methodologies.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nDesirable:\nExperience with Bootloaders such as U-Boot or equivalent.\nExperience with Embedded Linux / Yocto / Buildroot.\nExperience with RDK, RDK-V or RDK-B platforms.\nExperience with OTA/FOTA, A/B partitioning and rollback mechanisms.\nExperience testing device recovery mechanisms.\nKnowledge of firmware images, partitions, flash storage and boot configuration.\nExperience with serial/UART console and hardware debugging.\nFamiliarity with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS and HTTP/HTTPS.\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines and automated regression testing.\nFamiliarity with Git/GitHub/GitLab or similar source-control systems.\nExperience with Jenkins or other CI tools.\nKnowledge of C/C++ is
