This role offers the opportunity to work across the full software stack, developing advanced control functions that enhance vehicle dynamics, comfort, and driving performance. \nAbout the Assignment \nAs an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional team responsible for developing software for advanced suspension systems. The team works across application software, middleware, control algorithms, and supporting toolchains to deliver cutting-edge active chassis functionality. You will collaborate closely with software developers, system engineers, safety engineers, and test engineers, contributing throughout the software development lifecycle from concept to validation. \nMain Responsibilities \nAs an Embedded Software Engineer, you will: \nDevelop application software in C++ and middleware software in C for active chassis and suspension systems. \n\nContribute to software development for both dedicated ECUs and centralized vehicle computing platforms. \n\nCollaborate with system, safety, and test engineers in a cross-functional environment. \n\nSupport integration, testing, validation, and troubleshooting activities. \n\nParticipate in the development of control algorithms and supporting toolchains. \n\nContribute to software quality, performance, and safety throughout the development process. \n\nDrive technical improvements and continuous development of products and processes. \n\nRequired Qualifications \nMaster's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field. \n\nMinimum 5 years of experience in C++ (C++11/C++14) and/or C (C90/C99) development. \n\nMinimum 5 years of experience in real-time embedded software development. \n\nExperience within the automotive industry. \n\nExperience working with AUTOSAR. \n\nKnowledge of automotive communication protocols, including: CAN, Automotive Ethernet, Experience with UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services). \n\nExperience using Vector tools such as: CANoe, CANalyzer, vTESTstudio \n\nKnowledge of low-level embedded protocols: SPI, UART, PWM, DIO, PSI5 \n\nExperience with HIL systems and real-time simulation environments. \n\nKnowledge of ISO 26262 Functional Safety implementation. \n\nFamiliarity with automotive cybersecurity standards. \n\nFluent in English, both written and spoken. \n\n If you are passionate about bringing innovation to the projects you work on, then we would love to hear from you. \nTata Technologies: Engineering a better world. \nTata Technologies would like to thank all applicants for their interest; each application will be reviewed against the set criteria for the role.
