The role combines systemization, requirements engineering, system modeling, safety analysis, and supplier collaboration within a highly cross-functional environment.\nMain Responsibilities\nAs a System Designer, you will:\nDefine and develop system functions and behaviors related to:\nDoor Control Systems\nLocking Functions\nWindow Control Functions\nAlarm and Access Features\nDevelop, decompose, and manage system requirements across multiple abstraction levels.\nCreate and maintain system models and technical documentation.\nDefine technical solutions in alignment with system architecture guidelines.\nContribute to safety-related system development according to ISO 26262.\nParticipate in technical discussions with suppliers and engineering stakeholders.\nSupport system verification and validation activities.\nCollaborate closely with software, hardware, function, and architecture teams.\nSupport the development of future vehicle user experiences through robust system design.\nRequired Qualifications\nMinimum 4+ years of experience in:\nSystem Design\nFunction Development\nSystem Engineering\nSystem Modeling\nStrong experience in:\nRequirement Engineering\nRequirement Decomposition\nRequirement Traceability\nExperience working with safety-critical systems.\nPractical knowledge of ISO 26262 Functional Safety.\nExperience using:\nElektra\nCarWeaver\nExperience collaborating with suppliers and managing technical alignments.\nM.Sc. in:\nSystems Engineering\nControl & Mechatronics\nComputer Engineering\nEngineering Physics\nOr equivalent experience\nFluent in English, both written and spoken.\nMeritorious Qualifications\nHardware design knowledge.\nExperience with functional design methodologies.\nUnderstanding of user behavior, customer journeys, and use-case-driven development.\nExperience within automotive electrical architectures and vehicle systems development.\nKnowledge of vehicle access, door module, locking, or closure systems.\n\nIf you are passionate about bringing innovation to the projects you work on, then we would love to hear from you.\nTata Technologies: Engineering a better world.\nTata Technologies would like to thank all applicants for their interest; each application will be reviewed against the set criteria for the role.
