The role combines technical leadership, test automation strategy, stakeholder management, and onsite-offshore coordination to ensure delivery of high-quality automated verification solutions integrated into Continuous Integration (CI) environments. \nThe candidate will act as the primary technical focal point for automation development, validation activities, and cross-functional collaboration across multiple testing levels including vehicle, system, integration, and component verification. \nKey Responsibilities \nTechnical Leadership \nLead and coordinate onsite and offshore test automation teams. \nProvide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to automation engineers. \nAct as the primary technical interface between development, integration, verification, and CI teams. \nEstablish and enforce automation best practices, coding standards, and framework governance. \n\nTest Automation Strategy \nDefine and drive the overall test automation strategy aligned with project goals and quality objectives. \nDevelop scalable automation architectures and CI/CD integration approaches. \nEvaluate and adopt innovative techniques, including AI-assisted test generation, where beneficial. \n\nTest Analysis & Planning \nAnalyze requirements, features, and verification needs to identify automation opportunities. \nDevelop automation test plans, effort estimates, schedules, and resource strategies. \nEnsure alignment between automation activities, delivery milestones, and program objectives. \n\nTest Execution & Delivery \nOversee development, maintenance, and execution of automated test cases. \nEnsure test coverage across: \nSoftware-in-the-Loop (SIL)\nHardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) \nVehicle/System Integration Testing\nComponent-Level Verification \nRegression and Confirmation Testing\nDrive successful deployment of automated tests into CI environments. \n\nQuality Assurance & Reporting \nMonitor automation progress, quality metrics, risks, and defect trends. \nLead regular technical reviews and status reporting activities. \nEnsure test automation deliverables meet quality, maintainability, and performance expectations. \nCommunicate delivery status and recommendations to stakeholders. \n\nDomain Support & Collaboration \nProvide technical expertise within: \nExterior Lighting \nVisibility Systems \nVehicle Locking Functions \nAlarm Systems\nDoor and Closure Systems \nSupport onsite investigations, manual verification activities, and requirement clarifications. \nWork closely with software development, system integration, CI, and validation teams. \n\nRequired Qualifications \nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics, or equivalent. \nProven experience in quality assurance and verification of complex embedded systems.\nExperience leading automotive test automation activities and distributed engineering teams.\nStrong stakeholder and delivery management capabilities. \nFluent in written and spoken English. \n\nRequired Technical Skills \nAutomotive Test Automation \nTest Automation Framework Design and Architecture \nAutomated Test Case Development and Management \nContinuous Integration / Continuous Testing \nPython and/or CAPL scripting\nCANoe \nJenkins or similar CI tools \nLinux \nRequirement and Test Management Tools\nEmbedded Systems Verification & Validation \nHIL, SIL and Integration Testing \n\nPreferred Skills \nExperience in Exterior Lighting and Exterior Functions. \nAI-assisted test generation and automation techniques. \nSoftware development background. \nModel-Based Development and Testing experience. \n\nWhy Join Tata Technologies?\nIf you are passionate about bringing innovation to the projects you work on and want to help shape the future of automotive electronic systems, we would love to hear from you.\nTata Technologies: Engineering a better world.\nTata Technologies would like to thank all applicants for their interest; each application will be reviewed against the set criteria for the role.
