Beyond core development, ESS also integrates critical supporting processes such as project management, risk assessment, functional safety, and cybersecurity, ensuring compliance with ASPICE standards and delivering reliable, secure, and high-quality embedded systems & solutions.\nRole Summary\nAs a member of the Body Electronics team, you will be part of a core systems design & development team focused on systems for future sports cars. You will be responsible for identifying future technology, defining a technology roadmap and following that roadmap, developing technology through the engineering lifecycle, into production.\nThe position requires a highly motivated and hands-on team player with exceptional attention to detail, diligence, and a positive attitude. The fast-paced development and bespoke target platform provides a challenging environment suited to an engineer who can quickly develop skills in new areas and liaise with other engineering teams within a multidisciplinary environment. Our customers expect high standards, and we require team capable of meeting such demands.\nYou will be responsible for:\n··System and components specifications\n·DFMEA\n·BoM management and Engineering release (SAP Structuring & Releases)\n·Validation planning (DVP)\n·Test specifications.\n·Timing plan and project management\n·Interface on CAN/LIN or Ethernet\n·Root Cause analysis (SW and HW) and Systems sign-off\n·Attributes delivery\n··Component functional testing & calibration.\n·Supplier Management, Component suppliers\n·Define Scope of change, Software requirements and ARXML changes\n·SW Validation\n·Definition of ECU Pin-outs, Connector & Harness Definition\n··Manage localization plan for new regions\n··Update and maintain test tool and test scripts\n·Costing & Budget planning - HW\n·Define and maintain component time plan (HW & SW)\n·Define EOL Configuration\n·Technology Road map for next Gen HW\n··HW samples for build readiness (Manage/Order and update HW Units)\n·Package Clearance and Serviceability, Assembly Sequence (Vehicle Assembly)\n·Brackets Management\n·Cost / weight reduction ideas\n·PPAP\n··Certification\n··Plant Issue Investigation\n·Warranty Claim Investigation\nRegarding systems, you will be responsible for delivering all required elements of the Development Process (MDP) to agreed gateway timings & cost. You will have multi systems, multi vehicle responsibility and will help shape the vehicle electrical architecture and also support:\n··Technology Roadmap & Features Strategy\n·SW Validation and related features Validation\n·Definition of EE-architecture\n·Cyber Security Requirement\n·Overall Timing plan for owned components\n··EOL Definition\n·Create RFQ for next Programs\nKnowledge, skills & experience:\n·Strong understanding of systems design & development process, systems engineering & the engineering V-lifecycle within an OEM or tier 1\n·Shall demonstrate in depth knowledge in any of these components (Body Controller, Lv Battery, TPMS, PEPS and ORC) and other body Electronics features.\n·Degree qualified in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.\n··Strong technical project management skills with proven evidence of decision making and accountability is essential. It is core to the success of our business that these primary roles have the required level of leadership and motivation to succeed\n·Previous experience of OEM or tier one electronic system management utilizing all the key attributes, with a demonstrable record of delivery.\n·Supplier management, comfortable with understanding and implementing requirements within project scope.\n·Automotive Embedded system hardware knowledge and experience will be preferred.\n··Documentation of Technical Specifications, DFMEA, DVP, Timing Plans, Minutes and Actions of Meetings.\n··Experience with Vector automotive products (or equivalent) e.g., CANoe, CANape, CANalyser, would be advantageous.\n·Experience of the Systems Development Lifecycle (V Model).\n·Ability to produce formal documentation to a professional standard.\n·Organized, systematic and understanding the process of fault finding.\n··Ability to effectively manage time between multiple projects.\n··Experience with systems of responsibility within body electronics systems.\n·Knowledge of CAN and Ethernet along with its tools.\n·Experience and understanding of vehicle level system integration in terms of hardware and software.\n··Background in low volume, high performance sports or racing cars preferred.\nPersonal attributes:\n·High drive, self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision.\n·Confident and can articulate in high pressure scenarios.\n·Personable and can manage and exceed expectations of internal customers.\n·Naturally technical.
