Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for a Design Engineer - Exhaust System to be based at our office in Warwick.\nOur Engineering Research and Development department (ER&D) is a fast growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on exciting projects globally for multiple customers. It comprises highly specialized engineers across Automotive, Aerospace and Industrial Heavy Machinery.\n**6 MONTHS CONTRACT - OUTSIDE IR35**\nAREA OF RESPONSIBILITY\n· Create, update, and maintain 3D CAD models and assemblies for Gas Path system components using CATIA V5 / 3DEXPERIENCE\n· Develop 2D drawings with correct GD&T, tolerances, and automotive drawing standards\n· Work on air intake and exhaust systems and mountings.\n· Support powertrain and vehicle‑level packaging and interface integration activities\n· Perform interference checks, clearance analysis, and mass properties validation\n· Implement engineering changes (ECR/ECO) across design stages from KO to SOP\n· Ensure CAD data compliance with OEM CAD standards, best practices, and naming conventions\n· Collaborate closely with module leads, system engineers, and manufacturing teams\n· Support DFMEA, design reviews, and prototype / vehicle build activities\n· Interface with suppliers for CAD data exchange, quality checks, and updates\n· Release CAD data via PLM systems in line with project milestones.\nKNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE\nEssential:\n· Automotive domain knowledge with working experience of Gas Path system commodities. \n· Support/Lead Design reviews and design changes respecting feasibility and timeline\n·· Timely CAD completion for S/T/P releases\n·· Understanding of commodity release & change management\n·· Understanding of Proto & Production BOM\n·· Excellent CATIA V5 and CATIA V6 2D/3D skills.\n·· Exposure to PLM tools such as TeamCenter.\n·· GD&T knowledge is a must.\n·· Proficiency in using MS tools such as SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.\nQualification:\n·· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering or related discipline.\nIf you are passionate about bringing innovation to the projects you work on and want to join a global company, then this is the place for you.\nTata Technologies: Engineering a better world.\nTata Technologies would like to thank all applicants for their interest, each application will be reviewed against the set criteria for the role.
