Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for EE Architecture Engineerto be based at our customer's office in Gaydon.\nOur Embedded Systems Solutions department (ESS) encompasses all activities outlined under the Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) process framework, including systems engineering, software engineering, coding, and all levels of functional testing. Beyond core development, ESS also integrates critical supporting processes such as project management, risk assessment, functional safety, and cybersecurity, ensuring compliance with ASPICE standards and delivering reliable, secure, and high-quality embedded systems & solutions.\nScope of Role\nThe successful applicant will join the E/E Architecture team to support the definition, developmentand implementation of vehicle electrical and electronic architectures across multiple customer programmes. The role requires a technically capable engineer who can translate vehicle and feature requirements into robust functional, logicaland physical architecture solutions.\nThe successful candidate will work closely with customer engineering teams, system architects, network, diagnostics, software, cybersecurity, functional safetyand integration teams. The role requires strong systems thinking, structured problem solving and the ability to communicate architecture decisions clearly from concept through validation and release.\nArea of Responsibility\nDevelop and maintainvehicle E/E architecture concepts, modelsand technical descriptions across multiple vehicle domains.\nTranslate vehicle, featureand stakeholder requirements into functional, logicaland physical architecture definitions.\nDefine system boundaries, allocations, interfaces, communication paths and interactions between hardware and software elements.\nPerform architecture impact assessments for new features, components, variantsand engineering changes.Maintain architecture requirements, assumptions, decisions, traceabilityand supporting engineering artefacts.Lead or support architecture reviews, design assessments, technical workshopsand customer governance forums.Coordinate architecture interfaces with network, diagnostics, cybersecurity, functional safety, softwareand integration teams.Support concept selection, technical trade-off studies, reuse assessmentsand risk mitigation activities.Ensure architecture solutions consider integration, validation, serviceability, scalabilityand production constraints.Support issue investigation and root cause analysis for cross-domain architecture and integration concerns.Contribute to architecture methods, standards, templatesand continuous improvement activities.Knowledge / Experience\nEssential:\nBachelor’s or master’sdegree in electrical, Electronic, Automotive, Systems or Software Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.\nAutomotive E/E architecture, systems engineering or vehicle electrical engineering experience.\nPractical experience developing functional, logicaland physical vehicle architectures and defining system interfaces.\nStrong understanding of vehicle ECUsdistributed electrical systems, embedded software and communication networks including CAN, LINand Automotive Ethernet.\nExperience with requirements management, architecture modelling, traceabilityand engineering change impact assessment.\nAbility to lead technical discussions and communicate complex architecture topics to customer, supplierand internal engineering teams.Experience supporting automotive programmes through concept, development, integrationand validation stages.Desirable:\nHands-on experience with PREEvisionand IBM DOORS / DOORS Next; working knowledge of JIRA and collaborative engineering tools.Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering, SysMLor equivalent architecture development methods.Knowledge of AUTOSAR, software-defined vehicle architectures and gateway concepts.Awareness of ISO 26262, ISO/SAE 21434and Automotive SPICE processes.Experience working with an automotive OEM, Tier 1 supplieror global engineering service provider.In return for bringing your expertise to our business we offer a competitive salary along with excellent benefits including:\nPension Scheme - We match employee contribution up to 5% of salary25 Days’ HolidayPrivate Health CareTata Jaguar Land Rover Privilege Scheme - up to 20% off new JLR vehiclesGroup Income ProtectionHealth Assured - Employee Assistance ProgramGroup Life AssuranceHealth Shield - Private Health Cash Plan\nIf you are passionate about bringing innovation to the projects you work on and want to join a global company, then this is the place for you.\nTata Technologies: Engineering a better world.\nTata Technologies would like to thank all applicants for their interest, each application will be reviewed against the set criteria for the role.
