Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for aProject Engineer – Infotainment Displays to be based at our customer’s site in Bicester.\nOur Embedded Systems Solutions department (ESS) encompasses all activities outlined under the Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) process framework, including systems engineering, software engineering, coding, and all levels of functional testing. Beyond core development, ESS also integrates critical supporting processes such as project management, risk assessment, functional safety, and cybersecurity, ensuring compliance with ASPICE standards and delivering reliable, secure, and high-quality embedded systems & solutions.\nRole Summary:\nThe Project Engineer – Infotainment Displays is responsible for development, test and delivery of state-of-the-art infotainment and multimedia features. \nThe role requires a highly motivated and hands-on team player with an exceptional attention to detail. The role will suit an Engineer who has the ability to quickly develop skills in new areas and liaise with other engineers within a multidisciplinary team.\nDimension of function:\nEngineering, Research and Development (ER&D) is a growing function within Tata Technologies Limited that is assembled to work on projects and programmes for our clients. This position will be working on Infotainment features within the cockpit electronics projects for our customers.\nAreas of responsibility:\nThe Cockpit Electronics team is responsible for the specification, test and delivery of infotainment systems, displays, audio systems and interior switches. The responsibilities of the Senior Infotainment Engineer will include the following: \n·Oversee the management of suppliers\n·Leading the development of the roadmap for the future displays in road cars\n·Write detailed system specifications for all displays\n··Lead integration of displays with the overall vehicle architecture\n··Manage the development of multiple hardware and software suppliers to deliver features on time, on cost, and within quality and functional specifications\n·Report on current activities, software, hardware status and issues at a business level\n·Manage cross functional teams to deliver DFMEA and vehicle validation plans\n·Develop and co-ordinate DVP plans for all areas associated with cockpit systems software and hardware\n·Ensure and sign-off launch readiness for production\n·Test road cars with the latest features and content before release\n·Assist with fault finding and root cause analysis of software and hardware failures\n··Report bugs and create test reports\n··Drive issue resolution with hardware and software suppliers\n·Take responsibility for resolving issues on current production vehicles\n·Leading the mechanical integration of their components within the vehicle interior\n·Manage supplier relationships to deliver features and components on time\n·Be responsible for the attribute performance of the displays\nKnowledge, Skills & Experience:\n·Several years of work experience in displays development and delivery of mechanical, electrical or electronic systems for automotive applications\n··Experience of the systems development lifecycle (V Model), writing system requirements, defining test cases and writing test procedures\n··Experience of managing projects using risk management techniques\n·Understanding of ‘A-Surface’ interactions and perceived quality concepts\n·Ability to produce formal documentation to a professional standard\n·Experience in hardware design and testing processes\n·Be well versed in the creation and maintenance of DFMEA's\n·Organized, systematic and understand the process of fault finding\n·Knowledge of CAN/LIN/Ethernet and related tools such as CANoe/CANalyzer\n··Familiar with issue tracking tools (Jira, Mantis, Bugzilla etc.)\n··Bachelor's degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other relevant engineering subject.\nDesirable:\n·Experience with Infotainment Systems: Displays & Control Unit and Infotainment HMI features.\n·Experience and understanding of vehicle level system integration in terms of hardware and software \n·Experience of systems testing of HMI-based systems.\nIn return for bringing your expertise to our business we offer a competitive salary along with excellent benefits including:\n·Pension Scheme – We match employee contribution up to 5% of salary\n·25 Days’ Holiday\n·Private Health Care\n·Tata Jaguar Land Rover Privilege Scheme - up to 20% off new JLR vehicles\n·Group Income Protection\n·Health Assured - Employee Assistance Program\n··Group Life Assurance\n·Health Shield – Private Health Cash Plan\nIf you are passionate about bringing innovation to the projects you work on and want to join a global company, then this is the place for you.\nTata Technologies: Engineering a better world.\n\nTata Technologies would like to thank all applicants for their interest, each application will be reviewed against the set criteria for the role.
