Our diverse and inclusive workforce allows for all employees to feel valued and safe to give their opinions and improve our company.\nTata Consulting Engineers USA, LLC, (TCE), is a multi-disciplinary engineering organization offering a full range of integrated engineering design, project support, procurement and construction management services to the energy and chemicals industries.\nPosition Summary\nCapital Projects Engineer is a strategic project leader who ensures industrial capital assets are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while also managing the portfolio to support long-term business objectives.\nA Capital Projects Engineer combines the responsibilities of a capital projects manager with those of a portfolio manager, focusing on industrial assets, facilities, and infrastructure. This role oversees the lifecycle of major industrial projects while managing a portfolio of assets or initiatives to align with strategic goals.\nResponsibilities\nPortfolio Oversight: Manage a portfolio of industrial capital projects, including construction, renovation, utility upgrades, and facility expansions, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and capital improvement plans.\nProject Lifecycle Management: Lead projects from concept through design, permitting, construction, commissioning, and closeout, coordinating across multiple phases and locations.\nBudget & Cost Control: Develop, monitor, and control project budgets; identify cost variances and implement corrective actions; prepare and present budget and status reports.\nScheduling & Planning: Create detailed project schedules, track progress, and ensure adherence to timelines; manage dependencies and resource allocation.\nContract & Procurement Support: Consultant selection, and subcontractor management; negotiate rates, manage change orders, and resolve disputes.\nQuality & Compliance: Ensure projects meet design, safety, and regulatory standards; conduct quality reviews and compliance checks.\nStakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for high-profile owners; communicate project status, risks, and opportunities.\nData & Reporting: Prepare performance reports, financial models, and presentations to executive leadership and stakeholders.\nQualifications\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, business administration, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (PMP, LEED, etc.) are advantageous.\nExperience: 7-10+ years in Petrochem/Chemicals/Refinery construction, or project management, with experience in manufacturing and utilities.\nTechnical Skills: Proficiency in project management software, budgeting tools, and data analysis; ability to use modeling and reporting to support decision-making\nSoft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities; ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.\nEducation Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, business administration, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (PMP, LEED, etc.) are advantageous.\nEEO Statement\nTata Consulting Engineers USA, LLC (“TCE”) is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in our workplace.
