Our diverse and inclusive workforce allows for all employees to feel valued and safe to give their opinions and improve our company.\nTata Consulting Engineers USA, LLC, (TCE), is a multi-disciplinary engineering organization offering a full range of integrated engineering design, project support, procurement and construction management services to the energy and chemicals industries.\nPosition Summary\nCivil Structural Engineer to support ongoing projects.\nDirect position with TCE in the Charleston Engineering Center.\nPerforms assignments requiring application of engineering education, training or and experience. Also requires special knowledge of the mathematical, physical, or engineering sciences. Assignments will be designed to further develop the Engineer’s job knowledge and abilities. Projects are often delivered across multiple TCE offices and global workshare partners.\nResponsibilities\nAbility to be a Lead Engineer on singular Civil/Structural projects incorporating multi-office/global delivery elements.\nApplies engineering principles in discipline of competency, as assigned by supervisor with minimal direction.Prepare material specifications for specific components.Prepares advanced sketches and calculations for a specific segment of a project.Assists in the development of technical specifications.Evaluates vendor bids and drawings to assure compliance with specifications.\nVisits vendor facilities to inspect structures and relevant equipment for compliance with requirements and existing drawings, and to evaluate the site, project requirements, and conditions.\nInterfaces with other disciplines, clients and global delivery partners.Prepare Material Take-offs on civil/structural items.\nReview vendor drawings and steel fabrication drawings.Develop a focus on least cost and safe design for civil/structural systems.Maintains continued awareness of project schedule and budget.\nQualifications\nEngineer must have 5-7 years of progressive experience in the field of Civil/Structural Engineering, preferably in the petrochemical industry.Engineer must already have attained PE certification or must be making plans to sit for the PE examination.\nEducation Requirements\nMust possess the minimum of a BS in civil or structural engineering from an ABET accredited university.\nEEO Statement\nTata Consulting Engineers USA, LLC (“TCE”) is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in our workplace.
