Our diverse and inclusive workforce allows for all employees to feel valued and safe to give their opinions and improve our company.\nTata Consulting Engineers USA, LLC, (TCE), is a multi-disciplinary engineering organization offering a full range of integrated engineering design, project support, procurement and construction management services to the energy and chemicals industries.\nPosition Summary\nSeeking an experienced Professional Electrical Engineer (PE) to support High-Voltage Substations, Switchgear Systems, Cabling Infrastructure, Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Transmission & Distribution, Thermal Power, Green Hydrogen and Renewable Energy Projects across North America.\nReview, approve, certify, and provide PE oversight for electrical engineering deliverables.\nSupport HV substations, switchgear, cabling, Solar PV, BESS, and utility power projects.\nConduct and review power system studies.\nEnsure compliance with local electrical codes and regulations.\nCoordinate with OEMs, vendors, utilities, EPC contractors, and stakeholders.\nSupport factory inspections, installation reviews, and site activities.\nElectrical Design Criteria and Engineering Calculations\nSingle Line Diagrams (SLD) , Protection & Control Schematics\nGeneral Arrangement, Equipment Layout and Installation Drawings\nGrounding and Earthing ,Lightning Protection System Designs\nCable Sizing , AC & DC Auxiliary System Designs\nCable Routing and Cable Tray Layouts\nPower System Studies , Relay Settings and Protection Philosophy\nSwitchgear and Control Panel ,Transformer Specifications and Calculations\nBill of Quantities (BOQ)\nConstruction and As-Built Documentation\nResponsibilities\nProvide technical leadership in the delivery and design management, ensuring alignment with client expectations, regulatory standards, and best practices.\nEngage as part of large multidisciplinary teams and review design documents for consistency and coordination.\nInterface with other disciplines, project management, and the client to provide fully coordinated projects.\nAnalyzing reports, specifications, and studies.\nPerform quality reviews on designs performed by others.\nSupport field construction efforts, including reviewing submittals, responding to questions from clients and contractors, and performing field walks, as required.\nUndertaking a ‘digital by default’ approach in deliverables.\nDeliver packages of work as Engineer-of-Record with the assistance of other technical and production staff.\nProvide oversight and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers undertaking technical design work on basic engineering applications and principles.\nParticipate in the development of proposals, budgets, and schedules for process-specific work as required.\nEngage with clients and stakeholders in the ongoing development of major program.\nQualifications\nMinimum 12+ years of relevant experience in Mechanical Engineering for Fossil fuel fired Thermal Power Plants, Green Hydrogen and Utility Projects.
