Able to work independently and take ownership and the initiative to move the projects from start to finish.\nResponsibilities\nProvides project leadership under the general supervision of a Project Engineering Superintendent.\nResponsible for designated project results.\nDevelop the Project Procedure Manual under the guidance of a Project Engineering Superintendent.\nReports on status of project to a Project Engineering Superintendent.\nCoordinates with Project Controls on the schedule and budget for appropriate element of project.\nDetermines staffing requirements and directs design team personnel.\nDocuments issues related to the contract, know the contract and execute per the terms of the contract.\nEstablishes a cost-effective environment.\nBe proactive in meeting challenges and deliver value.\nAssess risk and take action to mitigate risk.\nMaintain communication on all aspects of the project.\nResponsible for effective scope definition and change management.\nEnsure a safe work environment and a safe design and client safety guidelines.\nConducts requirements review.\nAssures that adequate Project Controls for the project are functioning.\nEstablishes and defines project organization under guidance from supervisor.\nDevelops Project Execution Plan for designated project.\nEnsures that the Project Execution Plan is followed during the life of the project.\nCoach and mentor project team.\nInterfaces with the client regarding project (s).\nWorks toward ensuring customer satisfaction with project results.\nComplies with all operating guidelines and standards, including ISO - 9001 standards.\nQualifications\nSeven years experience in the engineering industry, 5 years as project engineer. Professional Engineering license preferred, not required. Work experience preferably in the petrochemical industry.\nCapable of planning, organizing and running small projects up to 10MM TIC\nShould have engineering management knowledge across multiple disciplines with emphasis on discipline interfaces and information flow.\nWorking knowledge of material management processes, construction and site issues.\nStrong leadership presence, motivational skills and customer service oriented.\nMake a particular point of establishing a mutually respectful relationship with key personnel with whom you interact.\nMeet commitments, individually or as a team, to complete work by certain dates or within agreed effort hour or cost budgets and look to improve our work processes.\nBe positive and respectful in all discussions.\nPreferred experience working as a direct hire and or client rep in the petrochemical industry.\nEducation Requirements\nB.S. degree Mechanical Engineering (preferred) Chemical Engineer, Construction Management, or Project management degrees will be considered.\nEEO Statement\nTata Consulting Engineers USA, LLC (“TCE”) is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in our workplace.
