This individual will be responsible for managing engineering projects within the oil, gas, specialty chemicals, energy transition, and industrial sectors. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, demonstrate the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, and maintain effective client relationships while delivering projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.\nThe successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of project management or engineering experience within the consulting engineering industry or a related owner/operator environment. Experience managing engineering projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and supporting business development efforts is highly desirable.\nThis role provides an excellent opportunity for a developing project leader to manage projects of increasing complexity while working closely with senior project leadership and clients.\nResponsibilities\nProvide project leadership and day-to-day management of assigned projects under the direction of a Project Director or Senior Project Manager.\nSupport the planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout of engineering and EPCm projects.\nDevelop and maintain project execution plans, schedules, staffing plans, and project procedures.\nCoordinate with Project Controls to establish and monitor project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and performance metrics.\nLead multidisciplinary engineering teams to successfully execute project scope.\nMaintain a thorough understanding of project contracts and ensure project execution aligns with contractual requirements.\nMonitor project risk and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impacts to cost, schedule, quality, and safety.\nManage project scope development and change management processes.\nServe as a primary point of contact for clients on assigned projects while maintaining strong professional relationships.\nFacilitate effective communication between project team members, clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.\nEnsure project deliverables meet quality requirements and client expectations.\nPromote a safety-focused culture and ensure compliance with all client and company safety requirements.\nParticipate in project staffing, resource planning, and workload forecasting activities.\nSupport proposal development, project planning, and business development initiatives as requested.\nIdentify opportunities for additional services and assist in expanding client relationships.\nMentor and support engineers and project team members.\nPrepare and present project status reports to management and clients.\nComply with all TCE policies, procedures, operating guidelines, and quality management requirements.\nQualifications\nRequired\nMinimum of five (5) years of experience in consulting engineering, EPCm, or a related owner/operator environment.\nDemonstrated experience managing engineering projects, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource management responsibilities.\nExperience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nStrong understanding of engineering project execution processes.\nExcellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.\nAbility to build and maintain effective client relationships.\nMust reside in or be willing to relocate to the Houston, Texas area.\nPreferred\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure.\nExperience in refining, petrochemicals, specialty chemicals, LNG, midstream, terminals, energy transition, or power industries.\nExperience with project controls, cost forecasting, earned value management, and project reporting.\nFamiliarity with EPC, EPCm, FEED, and detailed engineering project execution models.\nExperience supporting proposal development and business development activities.\nPMP certification or progress toward obtaining PMP certification.\nExisting relationships with Houston-area owner/operators, EPCs, and industrial clients are considered a plus.\nEducation Requirements\nBachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.\nEEO Statement\nTata Consulting Engineers USA, LLC (“TCE”) is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in our workplace.
