We welcome applications from all backgrounds.\nAbout the role\nAs an Accounts Receivable Controller, you'll play a key role in managing customer accounts, maintaining strong cash flow performance and supporting project-based activities across the business. Working closely with customers, Quantity Surveyors and internal stakeholders, you'll ensure outstanding debt is collected effectively while maintaining accurate financial records.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage the collection of outstanding debt across contracting and supply-only accounts, ensuring timely cash collection.\nMonitor customer accounts, proactively manage aged debt and resolve payment queries.\nBuild strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to support the collection of payments and resolution of account issues.\nWork closely with Quantity Surveyors to support the agreement and collection of final accounts and contract retentions.\nPost and allocate customer receipts, maintaining accurate accounts receivable records.\nRaise and maintain project accounts, supporting project-related financial administration and controls.\nLiaise with credit insurers regarding customer coverage and overdue debt reporting.\nPrepare debtor reports and provide accurate month-end information to support financial reporting.\nWhat We're Looking For\n\nExperience within Accounts Receivable, Credit Control or Sales Ledger in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships and influence positive payment outcomes.\nExperience managing customer accounts, cash allocation and debt collection activities.\nExposure to project accounting, contract-led businesses, construction, engineering or manufacturing environments would be highly advantageous.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to deadlines.\nStrong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.\nConfident using finance systems and Excel to manage and analyse financial information.\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across finance and operational
