With revenues of over €500m and growing, Tate plays a pivotal role in offering expertise in cutting edge design engineering, working collaboratively with clients as a trusted partner.\nAbout the Role\nYou will be joining a dynamic finance team supporting the Financial Controller and wider Finance team with month-end close, financial reporting and the day-to-day operation of the accounting function. This is a broad role suited to a newly qualified accountant, or someone with up to one year of post-qualification experience, who wants to develop practical experience across general ledger accounting, reconciliations, controls, audit and statutory reporting in a growing international business.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport the monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes in line with company and group reporting deadlines.\nPrepare and post journals, including accruals, prepayments, payroll journals, depreciation and other month-end adjustments.\nPrepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, investigate reconciling items and ensure they are cleared on a timely basis.\nMaintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are accurately coded, supported and recorded in the correct accounting period.\nSupport fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals, depreciation and reconciliation of the fixed asset register.\nPrepare intercompany reconciliations and assist with the resolution of differences across group entities & support VAT, Intrastat and other statutory or regulatory reporting requirements as required.\nAssist with year-end audit preparation, including audit schedules, supporting documentation and responses to auditor queries.\nWork with colleagues across Finance and the wider business to resolve accounting queries and improve the quality of financial information.\nQualifications, Experience & Skills\nNewly qualified accountant or up to one year post-qualified experience with ACA or ACCA. \nCandidates moving from practice into industry, or with relevant financial accounting experience in industry \nExperience in a manufacturing, project-based or multi-entity environment would be an advantage.\nStrong understanding of financial accounting principles, month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations.\nGood technical accounting foundation with a willingness to build broader commercial and operational finance experience.\nHigh level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to investigate and resolve accounting queries.\nStrong organisational skills and ability to meet recurring reporting deadlines while managing competing priorities.\nAbility to work independently and take initiative while also working effectively as part of the wider Finance team.\nClear communication skills and the ability to work constructively with finance and non-finance stakeholders.\nStay connected with us on LinkedIn for insights into life at Tate.\nTate is an equal-opportunity employer.
