Starting operations in 2011 with less than 50 people, we now have over 350 employees supporting operations globally. We have 30 teams operating in Łódź to provide service in the areas of Finance, Customer Service, Procurement, HR/People Services, and IS/IT\nROLE PURPOSE\nThe Senior Financial Reporting Accountant is responsible for supporting the financial reporting process by ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. This role involves assisting with the preparation of financial statements, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Senior FR Accountant provides support to less experienced team members. Seeks to improve processes through efficiency and automation. Subject matter expert and key user GL area with advanced knowledge about the process and accountancy overall. Dedicated to advanced activities with Business, Audit and Group Finance.\nMAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES\nComplete all Financial Reporting Month End Close Activities according to Month End Close Timetable (including journal entries calculation and posting, reconciliation and confirmation of monthly intercompany balances and preparation data for consolidation purposes- HFM- Hyperion Financial Management submission).\nOwnership of more complex FR processes / more demanding entities in FR scope.\nEnsure appropriate business sense checks are in place, and continuously identify and recommend improvements to enhance financial accuracy and operational efficiency.\nPrepare regular and ad hoc reports.\nProduce monthly control files to ensure all reconciliations are complete.\nEnsure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.\nPerform more complex monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations, assure proper follow-up.\nSupport statutory reporting and reconcile the ledgers.\nAdhere to performance metrics targets and take corrective actions to meet service level expectations.\nDrive continuous improvements to systems and processes in place to ensure best practice, optimum effectiveness and efficiency.\nParticipate in projects aiming to change and improve processes in General Ledger area.\nClose collaboration with all finance teams and other support functions as necessary.\nIndependently liaise with Internal and External Audit.\nProvide guidance and mentorship to junior accountants and other team members.\nPERFORMANCE MEASURES\nPerformance against KPI (key performance indicators), such as accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency metrics.\nCompliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.\nImplementation of process improvements that enhance efficiency, save time or costs and reduce manual effort.\nEffectiveness in mentoring and developing less experienced team members.\nFostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.\nEffectiveness in communicating with stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and discrepancies.\nPositive feedback from internal and external stakeholders regarding the quality and timeliness of financial information.\nCOMPETENCIES, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS\nQUALIFICATIONS\nUniversity degree in Finance, Accounting or Accountancy Course (preferably SKWP level 2).\nEXPERIENCE\nTwo+ years of experience in accounting.\nExperience in SAP.\nBW/HFM (Hyperion) experience is desirable.\nSKILLS / KNOWLEDGE\nProficiency in Excel is essential, with additional skills in VBA, Power Query, and Power BI considered advantageous.\nExtensive knowledge in Finance and Accounting.\nExcellent command of English, both verbal and written.\nHighly developed analytical skills.\nExceptional teamwork and communication abilities.\nStrong drive for continuous improvement.\nAbility to effectively prioritize and deliver tasks in a timely manner.\nStrong business acumen.\nPositive and proactive \"can-do\" attitude.\nWHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU\nAs a business operating in 50 countries worldwide, we offer a global rewards package to all employees alongside a range of country-specific benefits.
