Specifications are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job.\n\nSummary:\nThe Custodial Floor Care Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all floor maintenance operations within assigned facilities. This role ensures high standards of cleanliness, safety, and appearance of flooring surfaces. The supervisor ensures proper use of equipment and chemicals.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nSupervise and coordinate daily floor care operations (stripping, waxing, buffing, carpet cleaning, etc.)\nTrain custodial staff on proper floor care techniques, safety procedures, and equipment usage\nInspect work to ensure quality standards are consistently met\nDevelop and manage floor maintenance schedules\nOperate and maintain floor care equipment (buffers, burnishers, extractors, scrubbers)\nMonitor inventory of supplies and request replenishments as needed\nEnsure compliance with safety regulations and OSHA standards\nRespond to emergency cleaning or spill situations as needed\nMaintain documentation of work performed and equipment maintenance\nEXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSURE:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent (preferred)\n2-5 years of custodial or floor care experience\nPrevious supervisory or team lead experience preferred\nKnowledge of floor care techniques, materials, and chemicals\nAbility to operate industrial cleaning equipment\nStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsBasic computer skills for scheduling and reporting\nFamiliarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards\nREASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS:\nReasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the following essential functions.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nYes.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\nWork is performed indoors with some potential risks to safety and health hazards.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nMust be able to lift/carry 50 pounds, push/pull 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods.\nMust be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.\nMust be able to work around food and cleaning products\nWORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE:\nDoD Secret or higher security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
