This senior-level role requires deep technical expertise, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to perform complex, non-routine calibration and measurement tasks that directly support mission-critical systems.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nConduct non-routine and highly complex tests and calibrations, selecting, adapting, or modifying critical test equipment and procedures as required.\nPrepare, configure, and operate specialized test equipment; record detailed data; identify and document complex issues; and escalate problems requiring higher-level resolution.\nPerform calibration activities using automatic calibration systems, including making major procedural modifications and applying expert technical judgment.\nExtract, compile, and process engineering data from diverse sources to support technical evaluations.\nPrepare Calibration Procedure Requests (CPRs), calibration reports, certificates, and technical summaries.\nSelect and apply appropriate methods for presenting complex technical data to engineering and quality stakeholders.\nDevelop and document test and calibration uncertainties, including creation and maintenance of Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts.\nInterpret, extend, and apply technical precedents related to precision RDT&E measurement techniques.\nUse advanced mathematical tools and analytical methods to solve highly complex measurement problems.\nApply structured problem-solving techniques to support complex measurement and evaluation tasks.\nOperate and maintain dimensional inspection equipment, including:\nCoordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)\nHardness testers\nOptical comparators\nPrecision height gages\nMicrowave measurement equipment\nEnsure all measurement activities meet traceability and accuracy requirements.\nWrite and revise calibration procedures based on manufacturer specifications and engineering requirements.\nEnsure laboratory processes and documentation comply with ISO/IEC 17025:2005, NAVSEA 04-4734, and related Navy quality standards.\nSupport internal and external audits through accurate documentation and adherence to established quality systems.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nAssociate degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physical science; or 6-8 weeks PMEL School; or 4-6 weeks OEM technical training.\nMinimum seven (7) years of technical experience in calibration, metrology, measurement science, or related engineering disciplines.\nDemonstrated ability to perform complex, non-routine calibration tasks requiring adaptation of equipment and procedures.\nStrong background in data analysis, uncertainty development, SPC, and technical reporting.\nHands-on experience with dimensional inspection equipment and advanced measurement tools.\nKnowledge of calibration traceability, laboratory quality systems, and Navy/DoD calibration standards.\nCPR certification (or ability to obtain within one year).\nExperience supporting Navy or DoD RDT&E environments.\nCommitment to precision, accuracy, and continuous improvement.\nMust have an Interim Secret or higher.\nADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:\nA satisfactory background screening, negative drug test, positive references and proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States and for TTC are required.\nAs an equal opportunity employer, The Tatitlek Corporation recognizes that our strength lies in our people.
