Specifications are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job.\nSUMMARY:\nResponsible for the maintenance recordkeeping and oversight of all Chemical, Biological, and Radiological (CBR) Detection systems as well as mail processing equipment, sensors, decontamination units and associated equipment to maintain mail security and the security of the operation.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nCBR calibration, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting errors.\nPerform decontamination systems preventative maintenance, set up and break down.\nPerform basic concepts in environmental field sampling.\nDevelop equipment maintenance standard operating procedures (SOP), updating Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and maintenance record management.\nOther duties as assigned.\nEXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSURE:\nMinimum of four (4) years of CBR (military) and/or HAZMAT Technician (Civilian) background with in-depth knowledge of chemical, biological, and radiological detection to include operator level (or higher) calibration, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.\nKnowledge of applicable operations and maintenance codes and regulations.\nBasic proficiency in Microsoft computer applications.\nExperience in commercial off the shelf (COTS) CBRN equipment consumables inventory, shelf-life management and re-ordering.\nExperience in basic concepts in environmental field sampling.\nExperience in writing equipment maintenance standard operating procedures (SOP), updating Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and maintenance record management.\nBasic troubleshooting skills.\nAbility to reference and utilize technical manuals as needed.\nAbility to follow technical directions from product engineers or technicians.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.\nValid driver’s license and reliable transportation.\nPreferred:\nActive SECRET clearance preferred.\nExperience in decontamination systems preventative maintenance, set up and break down.\n10- or 30-hour OSHA certification preferred (but not mandatory).\nCurrent CPR/First aid certification preferred (but not mandatory).\nBasic information technology and electronics experience beneficial (but not mandatory).\nMust have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate the work requirements with various staff and subcontractors. Ability to prioritize, organize and work well under stress and maintain deadlines. Ability to be flexible and adapt to constant change. Ability to work flexible hours in order to meet deadlines. Knowledge of acceptable workspace safety practices including occupational safety and health regulations. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing with internal and external clients and co-workers. Ability to follow direction is a must.
