Working both independently and in coordination with engineering leadership, the Master Electrician leads electrical projects, troubleshoots complex issues, and guides junior electricians to maintain the highest standards of workmanship and safety\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nServe as the site’s subject-matter expert for electrical systems, equipment, and code compliance.\nInstall, maintain, and repair electrical distribution systems, panels, controls, and related components.\nLead and oversee electrical projects from planning through completion, ensuring all work meets regulatory and contract requirements.\nDiagnose and resolve complex electrical issues, providing technical direction to electricians and maintenance staff.\nConduct inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and safety.\nMaintain strict adherence to NFPA, NEC, OSHA, and Department of State electrical standards.\nDocument work performed, update maintenance records, and support reporting requirements.\nEnsure safe work practices, proper lockout/tagout procedures, and compliance with all company safety policies.\nProvide guidance, mentorship, and on-the-job training to electrical personnel.\nSupport emergency response efforts and remain available for after-hours issues as required.\nPerform additional duties as assigned.\nEXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSURE:\nActive Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain).\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nValid Master Electrician License.\nMinimum 5 years of electrical experience in commercial, industrial, or government facilities.\nStrong knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards..\nAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.\nProficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems and performing complex repairs.\nREASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS:\nReasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the following essential functions.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nPrior experience in the supervision of a workforce responsible for operations, maintenance, and repair of commercial building infrastructure systems. \nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\nMust be able be able to conduct preventative maintenance activities and minor repairs from ladders or elevated platforms. \nWork requires the incumbent to walk, stoop, bend, kneel, climb and work in uncomfortable positions. \nAbility to lift, carry and set up tools, equipment and parts that weigh up to and occasionally over fifty (50) pounds. \nMust be comfortable getting dirty, dusty, and greasy in an indoor or outdoor environment with frequent exposure to excessive noise. \nMust be able to perform duties under adverse weather conditions (extreme cold / heat, etc.).\nMust be able to work alternate shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements of the customer, to include weekends and holidays.\nMust be able to perform on-call duties when scheduled and report to work within one hour of notification. \nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nMust be able be able to conduct preventative maintenance activities and minor repairs from ladders or elevated platforms. \nWork requires the incumbent to walk, stoop, bend, kneel, climb and work in uncomfortable positions. \nAbility to lift, carry and set up tools, equipment and parts that weigh up to and occasionally over fifty (50) pounds. \nWORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE:\nSecret or higher security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
