These applications are running on Windows and Linux operating systems housed in a Nutanix platform. The OIG requires a qualified, full-time person with expertise and experience in IT network management to work 40 hours per week. This individual is capable of performing critical administrative operations as identified in the scope of work. This individual will be expected to work with OIG staff and contract support to analyze the existing OIG network environment and recommend a plan of action to address items identified in the scope of work.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nManage and maintain Windows and Linux servers.\nManage and maintain IT security configurations and tools.\nManage and maintain virtual environment.\nAssist with the management of the OIG’s O365 environment.\nAssist with the planning and implementation of OIG Cloud environment.\nProvide technical support to the Branch of Database Applications and Applications and Branch of Information Security staff as needed.\nProvide technical support to end users as needed.\nREQUIRED SKILLS\nSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:\nCertification:Security + CE required\n\nServer Management and Support:\n5 year's experience demonstrating a proficiency in installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, specifically Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux. \nExperience in managing virtualization technologies. \nAbility to perform routine server monitoring and performance benchmarking.\n Network Administration:\nSkilled in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software.\nExperience with network troubleshooting and resolution of network issues.\nKnowledge of network protocols and standards.\nNetwork Security:\nExpertise in implementing and managing network security solutions.\nFamiliarity with firewalls and vulnerability scanning tools.\nUnderstanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.\n Active Directory Management:\nExperience in managing Active Directory environment, including Group Policy creation and management.\nAbility to manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.\nCross-Functional IT Support:\nProvide support across various IT domains, addressing hardware and software issues.\nCloud Support:\nKnowledge of cloud technologies (Azure and AWS).\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nBachelors’ degree from an accredited institution\nAZURE/AWS certification \nCCNA certification\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
