These services are provided 24/7.\nPersonnel are responsible for providing an effective, efficient, and proactive approach to managing, supporting, securing, and maintaining the BEP IT network infrastructure and systems to ensure a sustainable, efficient, effective, and highly reliable environment for government employees and contractors.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nThe Senior Network Engineer shall be responsible for leading the entire Network Engineering Team.\nRespond to trouble tickets from the Help Desk automated trouble ticketing system.\nPerform network-related hardware and software System Administration functions best suited for after hours, including patches, upgrades, service packs, hotfixes, etc. to ensure system availability, reliability, and serviceability.\nREQUIREMENTS:\nMust have at least four (4) years of experience working with the TCP/IP networking environment; familiarity with Domain Names Services (DNS), ATM, Frame Relay, etc.\nHigh level of familiarity with networking technologies and capable of troubleshooting all levels of network connectivity issues including, but not limited to, network outages, switch failures, network performance, network interface card (NIC), cabling, TCP/IP configuration, etc.\nKnowledge of and familiarity with Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies including, but not limited to, routers.\nREQUIRED CERTIFICATION(S):\nCisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Cloud.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nAbility to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.\nOccasionally lift/move up to 25 lbs.\nMust possess good vision and hearing capabilities.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\nWork Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
