Azure AI / Document Intelligence Engineer\n\nLocation: Lagos, Nigeria\n\nJob type: Full-time (Hybrid)\n\nRole Summary\n\n We are hiring an experienced Azure AI / Document Intelligence Engineer on behalf of our client, a leading organisation in the financial services sector.\n\n The successful candidate will join a major enterprise digital transformation programme, leveraging Microsoft Azure AI technologies to build intelligent, scalable and secure solutions for document classification, extraction, processing and information retrieval.\n\nWhat You'll Do\n\n Build, train and optimise Azure Document Intelligence (Form Recognizer) models, including prebuilt, custom and composed models.\n\n Configure, test and optimise solutions using Document Intelligence Studio.\n\n Develop document preprocessing, validation and exception-handling pipelines.\n\n Integrate Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Azure AI Vision (OCR) and Content Understanding.\n\n Implement confidence scoring and monitor model performance and extraction accuracy.\n\n Continuously improve and retrain models based on performance and business requirements.\n\n Build scalable AI-powered document processing solutions suitable for enterprise and financial-services environments.\n\n Collaborate with data, software, solution architecture and business teams to deliver production-ready AI solutions.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n\n We are looking for someone with strong hands-on experience in Azure AI and intelligent document processing, ideally within a complex enterprise environment.\n\n Azure Document Intelligence\n\n 4–6 years' experience in AI/ML Engineering, with practical experience in intelligent document processing.\n\n Strong hands-on expertise in Azure Document Intelligence / Form Recognizer and Document Intelligence Studio.\n\n Experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Azure AI Vision (OCR) and Content Understanding.\n\n Strong Python programming skills.\n\n Good understanding of machine learning lifecycle management, model evaluation and optimisation.\n\n Experience building and deploying scalable AI solutions in an enterprise environment.\n\n Understanding of data security, governance and compliance within enterprise or regulated environments is an advantage.\n\n Experience within banking, fintech, insurance or other financial-services environments is
